  • That's delusional.

Different plants have different macros. Ofc there are plants with high protein but don't go around spouting carrots and fruit are a balanced diet. You need beans, legumes, nuts, etc.

  • I'm not vegetarian or vegan, but occasionally do a diet with my wife that makes us get creative with food. Here's a few things I still eat:

Pad Thai is a good place to start

    Oreos are surprisingly vegan

Taco Bell's bean burrito, actually most Mexican food can just replace the meat with refried beans.

Bacon bits are vegan, toss them on some pasta like Cacio e Pepe

Chipotle's chorizo is fake pork sausage, get it in either a bowl or a burrito.

    Then the classics:

    • tomato soup with grilled cheese
    • peanut butter and jelly
    • pancakes
    • mac & cheese
    • All cakes and pies (well excluding chicken pot & Shepard's)
  • There is a 25 item limit. I see people with 40+ items in self checkout all the time. It just bogs down what used to be a fast thing.

Where? Self checkout isn't express checkout. I don't think express checkout has been a thing for 5+ years.

Edit: Lol also I appreciate this as a major reason you don't use self checkout. That's completely fair:

Self checkout is constantly populated by old folks

  • I mean it's a boomer/genx post, it's technically a meme from the format (image with impact font). But the focus is on what it's saying, there's no joke to it.

Add any humor at all to improve it.

  • It's the Square checkouts and the other new POS like them. I'm pretty sure Square takes a chunk of the tip which is why they're enabled by default (and I'm not sure you can disable them).
