  • Stuff shouldn't include temporal or subjective aspects in their name like New Technology File System, Grand Unified Bootloader... that's all I got but you get the idea.

  • Leave them as is. I hate having to deal with archives inside torrents unless there's a very good reason for them.

  • I ran Pop! OS for about a day which uses Gnome (don't know which version) and while I liked bits of it I really disliked the file browser and image viewer. The file browser makes it difficult to browse folders outside of my home folder, there are no image previews and there's a needlessly large gap between folders and files wasting visual space. The image viewer is not great, it can't open the images made by my Nikon DSLR and quite a few times the image viewer would load the image at full resolution putting the title bar off the top of the monitor.

  • Yup I had a pair of those, no idea what they're called though

  • I'm curious about this too.

  • I had the same issue up till version 0.0.40. I cleared all the app data and cache, set up my accounts and everything's been fine.

  • Github is doing this now and it's so annoying.

  • Cathode Ray Dude, CloudCuckooCountry, Distant Signal, Jacob geller, Jay foremen, patriciantv, power pak, technology Connections, train of thought

  • Aaaaand we're back with some more rimworld!

  • My first guess is memory corruption. Maybe do a pass of memtest86+?

  • The banner in the sidebar doesn't look good either

  • I didn't like pickles on my mcdonalds burgers. I don't know why, they're great.

  • Did nexus links work as expected or would I have to manually download the mods then drag them over to MO2?

  • I think the Factorio devs are working on steam deck support.

  • There was a post the other day about other lemmy servers that had thousands of inactive users. The OP contacted the admins of those servers to let them know and several admins did purge a load of accounts.

  • I don't know how it could be anything but intentional.

  • The fedora 37 and 38 livecds have a bug that prevents them from being bootable. So when I wanted to install fedora on my laptop I had to start with 36 then upgrade to 37 then to 38. No other distro has had this problem.

  • Can't have a scunthorpe problem if you don't sanitize.
