  • And if you think calling someone names is some line that is crossed I don’t know what to say.

And if you think that calling people names is NOT crossing a line in a forum, then I don't know what to say.

We have different opinions on that. Obviously.

  • But it also doesn't make what you said any more true. You gave your opinion. I gave you mine. You called me names. I didn't call you names.

  • I love political drama in the news, yes. And other people do too, that's why it's in the news. That's how news orgs make their money. They report on drama, then get clicks, then get paid.

I'm not scared of Trump. I don't care if he wins (I don't think he will though). I don't like him. I don't like Harris. So again, I like Jill Stein. Even tho I didn't vote for her.

You think it's cringe. Cool. But that doesn't make me a troll. That just makes me a person you are annoyed with. That's a different thing.

  • Cringe to you. But I do love how much drama she's causing. She made the dems so scared they financed a fucking commercial about there. I'm all for anything that shakes up the status quo.

You seem to be seeing "cringe" everywhere you look. That's a "you" problem, not a "me" problem, friend. Thank you! :)

  • You were saying shiity things out of the gate.

No, you THOUGHT what I said was shitty. But it wasn't directed to you. And I didn't think it was shitty. YOU think it's shitty. And that's your right. But then you called me a name.

So yeah, let's use your scenario. You're walking down the street, you hear someone yelling what you think is ignorant shit, and you call them cringe. Then they stop, turn around and defend themselves to you, and then you say they are mean and shouldn't have said that.

You are the one playing victim here, not me. You said I was a troll because I responded to your insults.

How about you don't insult people just because you don't agree with what they said?

I have never called you names. You have called me names.

You think that's cool. I don't think it's cool and I think it weakens your argument.

  • So you insulted me first. Right out of the gate. So no man, I don't think you can insult someone, then get mad and call them a troll if you are the one that started the argument. Sorry, man, you're not gonna change my mind on that.

And I'm not gonna change your mind. That's ok. But I never insulted you or called you names. But you called me a name. Right off the bat.

  • Yep, doesn't change the facts tho. And doesn't change that fact that there are plenty of other people who'll be voting third party as well. Name calling may not be the best way to approach things. But you do you. Thanks! :)

  • I'm allowed to vote for whoever I want to. As are you. Thank you! :)

  • I do see some older middle-aged women Trump supporters here, but most of the Trump supporters I see are the guys with the flags on their trucks and stuff.

  • What makes me think Trump will lose again is the issue of women's rights/abortion.

I don’t think the people most affected by that are the ones answering poll questions, so I don't think their thoughts are being fully represented in the polls.

  • Not very difficult to one-up MAGA people. But she was badass for saying that and off-the-cuff like that. I still didn't vote for her, but props to her!

  • No clue, but you should def look into it and see what's up. Report it if necessary, but I'm assuming if it were illegal, the much bigger pockets of the Dem Party would have already looked into it.

  • And yet somehow you’re debt-free.

I saved to buy my crappy car. I saved to buy my crappy bike. And I pay for school, one course at a time (which is why I still don't have a degree.) I took a job as a janitor so that I could work somewhere with tuition reimbursement. Networked my way up to teacher's aide. Pay is 10 cents more.

    And yet somehow you’re woke-free.

What does that have to with anything about sexuality or being privileged?!

You know, just because someone believes differently than you, doesn't make them privileged.

I'm a biracial, bisexual, poor dude. Nothing about me is privileged. You make more money than me, I promise. Are you privileged?

  • How does that make me "privileged"?

I'm not white. I'm not straight. I grew up in poverty. I'm not rich. I don't have a high-paying job. I don't have college education (yet). So tell me, how am I privileged?!

  • Let’s be clear—our very first interaction started with you insulting me by calling me an “edgelord,” which is a blatant provocation. As seen in your link: https://lemmy.world/comment/12909326

You initiated the conversation by insulting me, and now you’re falsely accusing me of trolling when I was simply responding to your attack.

You set the tone for that exchange, but you’re acting as if I’m the one in the wrong. It’s weird for you to insult someone and then play the victim when they respond.

Do you think it’s acceptable to personally attack someone in your very first interaction with them, even tho they haven’t attacked you?!

That’s your argument for calling me a troll? You’re saying I’m a troll because I responded to your unprovoked insult to me?! And I still didn’t personally attack you after that. lol

  • All my main poltical article postings go to just two communites, unless they are socialist-centric. Were you under the impression I post to others?

  • Thank you. We can't let the bullies intimidate or pressure us into silence or from doing what we believe is right. Thank you, friend! :)

  • I disagree. But I don't think you should be upset. Trump isn't going to win anyway.

  • If I wanted Trump to win, I would have voted for him.
