  • Can't wait for the subset of self-host hobbyists to start posting about their self-hosted AI partners.

They could even arrange meetups like double dates and parties and such. The future is gonna be so chaotic. I love it.

  • In the future you can just insult people by calling them removed.

Steve Huffman is a removed little removed

  • And the Canadian tire Xmas catalog

  • This is how email servers have worked for decades - there is no silver bullet and this comes closest. If you poorly admin your email instance, say allowing it to be an open relay (same as just allowing open registrations), you get blacklisted everywhere aka defederated. Same if you have a compromise and someone starts spamming out.

  • That's a myth.

    From wikipedia:

    Bacteria and pathogens

Urine is not sterile, not even in the bladder.[21][22] In the urethra, epithelial cells lining the urethra are colonized by facultatively anaerobic Gram-negative rod and cocci bacteria.[23] One study conducted in Nigeria isolated a total of 77 distinct bacterial strains from 100 healthy children (ages 5–11) as well as 39 strains from 33 cow urine samples, a considerable amount being pathogens.[24]

  • Same for me. Only thing that made it permenantly stick.

  • Lmao at RAM chips and CPU cola

  • That could be said of any tool as well, it ultimately comes down to the competence of the person using it, even if that's a hammer or frying pan.

  • Yeah, most public companies hold big cash reserves. Its part of flexibility and long term growth, and the ability to weather downturns and be able to take advantage of opportunities.

Not everything is a rush to the bottom, it's more of a middle ground. Not saying it won't end up there, but like everything, it's not so black and white.

  • But once they have the patent they can license it to others, this denies them the chance. The point being that the idea may die with the person rather then ever being known in the first place if filing is too big a burden.

My understanding is you have to regularly pay to keep a patent valid until expiry, but I could be mistaken. Varies by country I'm sure.

I agree with your premise that it's better that someone with intent use it, but it's not that black and white.

  • The problem with making it a lot more costly results it much more difficult / impossible for a unfunded individual to file a patent vs corporations.

  • I got uncomfortable just reading 'chew open mouthed' shudder

  • I want to, but I can't even call the dentist let alone a strange number 😔

  • This picture gonna be nothing but white in the coming days. Get your storm chips at the ready my rocky island friends
