As a teenager we also all pitched in on a CD burner when they first came out and kept it at the BBS's owners place, I just remember a single CD took forever back then when it was 1x and 2x recording speed. That allowed us to share a ton more without everyone having to get together on the LAN.
I got my first job with AIX in the early 2000's after the previous admin did a reinstall of the OS vs an upgrade on prod, with unverified backups. It was a resume generating event.
They lost over 3 months of data and barely survived it.
I actually have a death date. It helps a lot with being able to plan my life and live in a way where I'll be happy with my life if I were to die tommorow.
If I reach that date then great, anything after I just consider a bonus lol
Not OP, but It doesn't matter to me what they are. It can be a call to discuss weekend plans, it can be an errand I have to run, it can even be an agreement with an friend to play a multiplayer game at X time. Something like a dentist appointment is the worst though.
I'm neurodivergent and not sure how much that matters to the phenomenon
I had the same problem too, I ended up buying a USB Bluetooth transmitter. I figured the board was bad until I replaced it and had the same problem with the new one

Yeah it happens because you are getting proper REM sleep and I know exactly what you mean about the intensity.
The same that they are not nightmares but are just intense to the point of exhausting some nights. Its like having to live two lives... I just want to sleep haha.
