  • "개새끼" (pronounced gay sek ee) literally translates to "dog baby". "Son of a bitch" in Korean. It's honestly the only example I can think of in Korean. I guess you also hear "돼지" (pronounced dway ji) meaning "pig" for fat people. Pretty bog standard around here I guess.

  • Windows is so full of stupid little shit that should have been fixed years - if not decades - ago. Sleep mode broken, folder customize options don't apply to subfolders despite offering that choice, the OP. Sigh.

  • In Korea, people put "초보운정" stickers on their cars. "Beginner Driver". They've been doing it for decades, so you see some pretty old ones. How long does one remain a beginner exactly?

There's also 차사순, who is literally famous for failing her written driver's test 950 times before passing.

  • I got my first ever "YouTube doesn't allow ad blockers" message on YouTube today. I hit the reload button and my ad blocker caught up and blocked that shit. How's that approach going for you YouTube? I'd sooner stop using YouTube than watch it with ads.

  • Yeah, "spin" was a stupid thing to call it. We have a nice, hard definition of what "spin" is on a macro scale. Why take a complex property of matter that we don't have a name for, and give it the same name as a fairly common, easy-to-understand phenomenon? Extraordinarily smart people being idiots, honestly.

  • OK! We weren't super active, so it shouldn't be too difficult to just recreate what I had there. I'm happy to see a production community already here. There's understandably a lot of overlap. 😄
