Kimchi and cream cheese on crackers is good, too.

I think you'll notice both of those places have very low birth rates these days. Almost like people don't enjoy being crammed in like sardines and having to compete in the workplace like rats fighting over the last rotting morsels.

Not for science fiction literature, guitar pedals, and synthesizers which was primarily what I went to Reddit for in the first place. There was some effort to get those communities going here back during the mass migration here from Reddit, but they've never really thrived. It sucks, but I'm not going back. I take a peek at r/synthesizers on occasion, and really it's just a gaggle of self-promoting synthtubers and umpteen iterations of "what should I buy?".

I finished Battlefield Earth.

The thing is, I remember enjoying it. I mean, it wasn't literature, but it was a lot of dumb fun.

Beetlecrab Audio Tempera is the most inspiring electronic musical instrument I own. I got it in April, and I'm still finding new ways to use it. It does so much.

Oxi One really is the hardware sequencer to rule them all. Though I'm sure you could get by with a Hapax or Deluge if you don't mind spending twice as much.

Not a purchase, but Csound has always been an invaluable companion to my music making process. It's also entirely free and open-source.

In Canada, we had "Bleu Nuit". It was on at 2am, Saturday night, and played racy French movies. The only problem was the movies ran the gamut from 1.5 hour long naked lesbian makeout to a single scene with boobies somewhere in the middle. You took your chances. I swear there was one that didn't even show anything (but probably talked about sex. Dunno, I don't speak much French.)

And according to other posts in here, they're sentient, and property. And they let kids build them. He also happened to build the one that would be partially responsible for his downfall years later. Star Wars. The universe that keeps on giving.

So, they let kids bring sentient beings into existence. Sentient beings that are property. This opens a whole new can of beans on the Star Wars universe.

The whole Anakin-Padme romance was just awful. Weird Al's line in The Saga Begins:

Ah, do you see him hitting on the queen Though he’s just nine and she’s fourteen? Yeah, he’s probably gonna marry her someday

sums up the absurdity quite well.

Well yeah, but I was very young. I haven't re-watched the original movies in a very long time for a very good reason. I'll keep those memories intact, thank you.

Not that he couldn't have put together a droid, but that he put this very specific, very integral-to-later-events one together himself. It's ludicrously coincidental.

This was the moment I checked out of the prequels. Vader, as a child, built C-3PO? I'm supposed to continue suspending my disbelief, now? Impossible.

It's been a very long time since I watched it, but I distinctly recall being very annoyed by her character. I just checked out the Wiki, and the very first line on her personality is "[she] possesses an extremely childish and naïve attitude for her age." While not stupid exactly , is just about what I recall hating about her.

This one happened during a period when moe was more brain-dead than cute, and the sister character who is supposed to be his motivation for everything just ruins the whole show for me she acts so stupid.

Works great for me. Definitely not as many seeders as they were during it's heyday, but still a decent number. I've downloaded a couple semi-obscure films in the past couple of months and they downloaded just fine in an hour-or-two even with only one seed.

A lot of people say Star Wars is a blatant rip off of Dune. Yeah, only Lucas skipped just about everything that made Dune relevant.

It's not supposed to do anything. It is literally a "tap" on the screen.
