NO!

  • Unless you're Korean. "Ni ga" (니가) literally means "you" in Korean. With the not-so-recent surge in popularity of Kpop globally, I know there's been more than one outraged person accusing Korean rappers of racism for saying "you" in their own language.

  • I feel like they used to do this, now it's a crapshoot. My Steam wishlist has become rife with games I'm kind of interested in, but never go on enough of a sale for me to seriously consider. Which is honestly probably not a problem given I already have more games than I'm likely to finish in my lifetime at the rate I play them now.

  • I love how Bing Image Creator made me sign in before it told me that it couldn't do it because it's too busy. Fucking Internet.

I eventually got it, and it's pretty cool, but I have no idea how to upload images here. At least it says my image is too big even compressed into a 57kb jpeg.

  • The original You Are My Sunshine had something ridiculous like 48 verses many of which have been lost and it went on for twelve minutes. Though I forget where I read that, and I can't find it again, so it may have been some kind of weird fever dream.

  • Yeah. They certainly tend towards arty bunk. I guess I get it: it has to be hard to come up with ways to describe music that haven't been used a billion times before, but they lean so hard into trying to be unique, it all comes out meaningless.

  • I'm a Canadian living in Korea and sometimes have to explain to locals that the reason I've never been to Vancouver is because I lived on the opposite coast and it would take a week to drive there. In Korea, aside from a few outlying islands, you can never be more than four hours away from anywhere else in the country.

  • Haha! Yeah. Like you say, I am almost of the exact opposite opinion of you. The FFXIII games had some interesting and innovative game play wrapped in blisteringly inane characters and story in a world that makes no sense. We can at least agree on the music being awesome.

  • I haven't bought much, but I did invest in a Flydigi Vader 3 Pro. It's a controller with Hall Effect sticks so they'll never drift, mechanical clicky buttons, four customizable back and two front buttons. I got fed up with the sticks going bad on my Dualshocks. It's a bit early yet, but it works great so far. The software isn't even that bad considering I was prepared for it to be terrible given the reviews. I used it precisely once to set up my buttons and make sure it had the latest firmware and haven't booted it up since. It cost a tiny bit more than a Dualsense here in Korea. Which is insane for the amount of features. My latest Dualsense, the left stick went bad after a year of light use. Screw every controller manufacturer using shit analog sticks these days. Looking at you Nintendo and Sony in particular.

  • I loved Chrome when it was all angular and tabs took up a tiny fraction of the top of the window. Now, everything has to be rounded. Everything. What the fuck is wrong with corners?

  • I'm honestly not sure what season of the show I've seen. I've only seen bits and pieces of an episode or two. Maybe it was a positive thing early on, and I think it could be a better show if it were a little more earnest, but the little exposure I had to it was decidedly negative.

  • Nerd does not imply outcast.

Hmm. I guess it does not. But the show (at least occasionally,I haven't seen much of it) implies the nerdy folks are ostracized from the more "normal" ones when they make some quip that no one but them (and the audience obviously) understand. Though, I suppose that could also be because Sheldon is an immense prick as well as a nerd. Something else that does not endear me to the show.
