Humans got an internal clock. My uncle who is a farmer has never used an alarm to wake him up. I personally stopped using an alarm years ago after high school, I just wake up ~5am and do my thing. The key is to just be consistent and your body will adapt.
Storytelling/quests that surpassed anything its modern contemporaries had to offer. Add in a beautiful open world with alright combat and it's a hit in my books. Time also wasn't an issue back in those days as I were still in high school when it launched.
Edit: for those who don't want to use YouTube anymore.
If a is the long side and b is the short side of a rectangle. Halving the rectangle will make the long side b and the short side 1/2 a. If the ratio is preserved when halving, we get:
When you first start and can tell on their body language that they aren't fully comfortable and don't know what to share. You'll get the usual boiler plate answer like "it's all fine", "looking forward to start working", "it's sunny today so I'm happy", etc...
After a month or two people will be a lot more relaxed and comfortable sharing whatever is on their heart. You could end up hearing a minutes long ramble summarising someone's week, or if they are tired whey would usually say so and explain why.
It really helped to get people familiar and comfortable with each other despite the meetings being there primarily for work. Having people getting comfortable being open and honest is a godsend for whoever is managing the team.
It's one of the things that everyone would be positive about when we did one to one meetings with everyone in the org twice a year.
I don't know man, some people unironically thinks the earth is flat, that if a supernova happened in our galaxy the earth would blow up or that Volkswagen is pronounced with an English v and not with f despite listening to a German explain the German v. You can never tell when it comes to internet strangers.
Most of the comments (at least when I opened the post) were talking about RT as if it all does is ruining performance and shouldn't be used.
Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous really spoiled us with its carry weight when half your party got pets. The inventory in BG3 is bad, but the fact it's so easy to reach the carry limit only makes it worse.
People being mad at youtube for trying to force people to pay for the insanely expensive service they are providing was/is strange to me, on a similar note.
For FOSS, it's sort of given in the name though. If it's not free, it wouldn't be FOSS, and companies like Google and Facebook have permanently destroyed most people trust in ads not also being paired with data harvesting. Other than offering paid tech support, it's difficult to find a non intrusive way to get money.
Steam being a cash cow, a corporate structure that doesn't force some/most people to work on stuff they don't want to and internal politics that disincentivise people to go off on their own.
At my old organisation we always had mandatory "check ins" at the start of weekly meetings where everyone took turns saying whatever was on their heart and how their day was going.
Always a bit awkward at first with a new team, but a month in and people would really open up, and it was really helpful as manager to figure how people were holding up. Especially during covid/lockdown.
Plenty of sinners out there that does not follow "Father's" will
