  • I was curious how Lemmy integrated with Peertube. This is the first I've seen about it, that's awesome!

It seems like comments aren't shared from Peertube to Lemmy.

  • It's a bug for the Hot and Active sorting in the way the weightings are calculated and federated between the instances. There was a recent update to the code that's waiting to be released that should help prevent it.

  • The stickied comment from the admin on the announcement of /r/place

r/place is only available on our mobile apps (iOS and Android) and new Reddit. The new r/place features we are introducing this year are only on our mobile apps and moderators can opt out of these if they want to.

  • It can only be accessed through their mobile app, or on the web with the new interface (old.reddit.com won't work).

They don't care what people are putting on the board, it's still an increase in people engaging with the new interface and the official app.

  • What features of Snapchat are you looking for?

There's PixelFed but that's more analogous to Instagram, but it's core feature is image sharing which is what Snapchat primarily is for.

  • It's very amusing seeing your use of "here" and "there" in the comments from your respective accounts appearing in both places.

  • Yes, but they may not be singling out Bitwarden as not being open source. It's likely just that they use Vaultwarden as it's more lightweight. Also Vaultwarden is only self-hosted, so you can be sure what code is running on the server, whereas Bitwarden has a hosted option. I'd imagine there's a way to tell but from my understanding, you just have to trust that they run the code they say they are running.

  • Pull Request. It means someone is asking for their code to be added to the main codebase of a project.

Basically, the feature is in the works, waiting to be finished and then added (merged).

  • If you want an actual answer, it's not the leaves that go in but the sap inside the tree, and it's a 40 to 1 ratio of sap to syrup.

A bottle will need about 30 litres (8 gallons) of sap.

  • You can on Kbin as well. It's just called "boosting" instead, same as Mastodon (but in Mastodon it's more like a re-tweet).

  • I don't think you can save posts on Kbin.

Ah, just checked and the terminology is "boost" but your instructions still apply.

  • when cross posting is possible on Kbin (it might already be on Lemmy, not sure)

For your own awareness, cross-posting is available on Lemmy.

  • I personally use Element but FluffyChat is another popular one.

  • I fear that it could get bought off in the future and become an actual privacy nightmare

    Like last.fm?

  • Well you're doing better than most English speakers, and you got the word close enough to understand what you were saying. It's a strange word in english anyway
