  • I tried using a vertical mouse for a while. Trying to click with it without the mouse moving at the same time made me want to throw the thing across the room. It causes you to grip it much harder than you need to grip a regular mouse which eliminates any ergonomic benefit it theoretically has. If you need ergonomics, focus on the basics like desk, chair, and monitor height.

    Lol, "unnatural"

  • Interesting to note that the study has been funded by the Rockefeller foundation. Eating less meat is one piece of the decarbonization puzzle but I feel that the language of this article and the study implies that we need to focus mostly on this and turn a blind eye to the other ways we're feeding into climate change.

  • If I dual boot windows, I tend to disconnect my Linux drive any time I do anything on the Windows side. Even installing Windows fresh using default settings, it managed to completely erase my Linux disk to put the Windows bootloader on it even though I selected a completely different disk for the Windows OS. Won't be making that mistake again. And by mistake I mean dual booting Windows. That pile of spaghetti code gets a VM.

  • Literally just had a kiosk removed from my workplace last week because it was running Windows and kept looping into a BSOD and rebooting. It was kinda entertaining watching it struggle to pull up the kiosk app and then BSOD again.

  • people don't stop to murder other people without guns

I live in a red state with lax gun laws. This is probably the stupidest thing I've heard anyone say on the Internet. You should sit down and have a talk with Ahmaud Arbery.

  • Part of the reason I got a brother LaserJet instead of an Epson eco tank was because I don't need to worry about toner drying out. As much as I try to avoid it, I still need to print once in a blue moon and it's not really "efficient" to drive to the library.
