Someone with government connections is claiming things that he can't back up with evidence. Nobody cares because "the government" didn't confirm shit. Even the guy making the claim said he couldn't talk about it because it's classified.

I've met a few arch users and none of them give a shit what anyone else runs although they will totally talk your ear off if your ask.

I think this way because it's how many of my employers think. I would love to have a job where I could be this honest and it's something I'm working on but most employers think this way and so too does my current employer. Even so, this is the highest paying job I've had so far. It's easy for you to say that behind a keyboard not knowing my situation, it's much harder for me to have a frank conversation with my manager in a deep red state. I've been fired before and rejected during the interview process for being too honest.

Depends on if their business model works. If enough people are paying for premium and using the free version of the app to pay for development, there is no reason for them to increase the amount of ads. In fact, if they do show too many ads, it will likely push a lot of users to alternate apps.

This is the reason why but never the reason I give. If I make employers think at any time that I focus too much on the money, they will see me as a troublemaker. Instead, I come up with some bullshit excuse such as medical reasons and the smart employers will work it out on their own.

Am I the only millennial that doesn't mind phone calls? Don't get me wrong, I very much prefer an SMS or email if it will suffice but phone calls tend to be quicker if you need something taken care of immediately.

all is literally every instance. You're basically asking them to defederate or completely shut down their instance. If you can't handle opinions like this, you can either petition your instance to defederate from this one or stop going to all.

This is what the fediverse was created for. Casual transphobia doesn't need to be permitted and I fully support that.
