  • I honestly don't know how to be more clear. It's called a social graph. The most important thing about a social network, above everything else (for normies), is having lots of users. Cory and Molly both know and understand that if they left Xitter, they would lose access to a substantial amount of their audience, so they both stay, despite being some of the platform's harshest critics and the biggest supporters of it's alternatives. That's the answer to the question "why would anyone use it?". The social graph.

  • You're missing the point. Ask yourself why those people are still there.

  • However, checking wikipedia it actually seems like they juiced the metrics by using unfair comparisons

You'll find that Elon's companies do this a lot...

    Look at Tesla's website:

    1. "Full Self Driving" despite absolutely nothing of the sort even existing.
    2. Their acceleration numbers are faked by adding 60-ft rollouts to them.
    3. Fake prices shown to customers with government incentives and random guesses at gas savings factored in.
    4. Entire FSD demo videos completely faked.
    5. Faked FSD driving statistics
  • Last I checked Deadlock has banned Steam Deck (and anything that looks like Steam Deck).

  • I mean J2C is one of the smaller of the big tech YT, if that makes sense.

LTT has gone on the record several times that they won't cover Linux at all again until Steam OS gets a wide release (which probably won't happen until Nvidia gets their shit together).

GN has discussed it several times but they remain straddling the fence.

MKBHD doesn't really cover much gaming stuff and 0 PC stuff (only Apple 🤢).

    Austin Evans next, maybe?

  • They have been this way from day 1. They called it "end to end control".

  • No one should have to have an IT degree just to have the software they want installed on their devices.

  • Like what the fuck is possibly on there that justifies using that piece of shit platform?

People. Lots of people. Including Doctor Cory Doctorow and Molly White.

  • I dunno what that is but as I explained, it's already fixed, but thank you.

  • Pretty sure you can get it to say just about anything with the right prompts.

People need to stop acting like Grok is a sentient being.

  • And bots. Don't forget the bots.

  • Doesn't every Instagram user automatically have a Threads account now?

To my knowledge, no. They just have a 1-click on-boarding process that you're constantly harrassed about doing.
