I was having this issue yesterday on certain communities. When I went outside of Voyager, I noticed a language drop-down I had to select in order to post that didn’t exist in the app.

Google never really recovered from the attempt at “FOMO” by restricting most from accessing the newly hyped social media network.

By the time Google opened it up, people were already moving on to other platforms.

Although some instances do restrict new signups, imagine if they all restricted access? It would not be the same here.

Had a big following on G+, did a few courses and had a lot of fun in that network. Still friends with many of the people I connected with on there.

Never quite got that feel on Reddit and Lemmy won’t have it either because identities are hidden. But that’s OK, all platforms have a purpose.

I still can’t stand Facebook. Even though it makes me money, I feel the ick being on there every time.

Mine was just made up on the fly. Been playing Zelda Tears of the Kingdom lately and had to round up some golden apples for something, lol

There is ZERO chance I’d buy a car without CarPlay or Android Auto. Why would I buy GM when other manufactures get it right the first time?

I hated the WefWef name with a passion. Saying it aloud sounded like a sick puppy barking. I love the Voyager name for mass-appeal reasons.

I’d love to see an awards system! It’d be great to select the instance that receives the funds with the default being where their account is registered.

This is all part of growing pains on a new admin suddenly owning the top lemmy instance because they knew a little bit about branding.

As I’ve said before, I’m giving the admin a couple months and I feel they’ve done a fantastic job already.

Yes (Lemmy), replaced it about two weeks ago. I only visit Reddit for super niche stuff while logged out and using an as locker with the old subdomain. I will never upvote or reply to a topic on there ever again.
