  • That looks pretty cool. I use an rmm called level right now. It works well for windows clients. But for vps Linux. It has problems.

So I just stopped using it for that.

I've seen things like cockpit and OpenSUSE rancher. Which have the added benefit of managing containers.

As a business. I'm good with paying for a product. Because it will get funding and support. The only reason I'm even considering rancher or cockpit is because RHEL and Suse have interests in keeping the projects maintained.

I'll check your project out when I get time.

  • Huawei Harmony OS is multi kernel.

In the sense that it can run android Linux and I think . Exe files. Kinda cool tbh. Not sure if this is in the same boat as the projects you mentioned.

Too bad the sale of these is banned in the USA. I really want to try out the os.

  • No clue. But they are a pretty solid company. Small, responsive, and inexpensive.

Each pc costs $1/month, Min $20/month.

They have only terminal and file browsing for Linux now. But gui interface is on the road map.

    Hope they get that soon.

  • So, it turns out that my RMM is working fine under Wayland. Level got back with me because they couldn't reproduce the problem. So I tried to reproduce the problem. Only to find it is working just fine. Whatever was causing that problem, I have no idea. But it's gone.

  • Because it's pointless.

    • the effect wears off after the first or second scene. So then I'm just watching a regular movie where a handle occasionally comes out of the screen.
    • it's gimmicky. It just doesn't add anything of value for me.
    • it's a hassle. I don't want to wear (and eventually toss) a cheap pair of plastic glasses.

VR on the other hand. Rules.

  • Large heards grazing is necessary for grasslands to thrive.

They till the ground, knock down tall dead plants, graze (but not "browse" the grass), fertilize, and water the grass.

Deer and other fauna do not knock down the grass the way bovine do. We used to have millions of Buffalo. Now we use cattle as a substitute.

If we don't do that, we have to burn the grassland. Or it dies.

That's what we used to do in Kansas. It was quite fun. And the government paid us to do it.

Anyways. Here's some evidence to back up what I'm saying: TED TALK
