I can look past the mycelial network. I just can't tolerate some of the characters. And unfortunately they decided to focus on one main character. And that character's main feature is to cry throughout the entire series, despite being raised by vulcans. Also the pacing of the show is very annoying. It's high tension drama, all the time.
I watched the whole thing. There were some episodes that kinda gave me hope. Those usually were the ones that weren't part of the main plot. But the next episode it went back to the same dramatic formula.
Oh, and Tilly. What the hell man? How did she get into Starfleet??
That said, I'm happy people enjoy it! It's just not for me.
Just patch a new version. Use the Revanced manager, download the latest recommended apk from apkmirror and use the default patches.
This happened to me months ago and back then it was a common issue and there was a fix. I found the fix on the subreddit but can't quite remember what it was. A freshly patched version should do the trick though.
I don't know, I kinda like the discussions. It's rarely really toxic, just people having strong opinions. And a lot of it is legit. I kinda like Enterprise, but there's also a whole bunch of things that are wrong with it. A lot of these discussions end up explaining things about the lore or end up being memes.
You also get videos crammed full with sponsors. One might say that most videos on YouTube are ads themselves. YT Premium does not have Sponsorblock. Alphabet makes money by selling your data and they continue to do so when you pay them. I support a select few creators via Patreon. Fuck Alphabet, they're not getting a single cent from me.
Hmm, now that you mention it, I think it was quite similar in Germany. But I personally don't know many people who watched these shows. It was still quite a niche thing. But you're right, they weren't considered weebs. Probably because the Germans are so unaware of foreign cultures, most don't even know what that means.
Absolutely. In Germany at least, anime is a very niche thing. Hardly anyone watches it here. I can't stand anime because of the lazy animation, though I do appreciate the creativity story-wise.

They can go fuck themselves. If all alternatives stop working, I'll find a different video hoster. If that doesn't work, I'll just go back to reading books. I know what you mean, but I refuse to throw money at Alphabet, when we're basically the tradegoods to them. They siphon and sell off all of our information. I'm not paying for that. If I like a creator, I'd rather pay for their Patreon and get some more benefits with that.
Plus, Revanced is way more convenient than the official YT app. You can customize the shit out of it.
I pay for 3 different streaming services because it's (still) more convenient than piracy. I pay for games because Steam and GoG are super convenient and they constantly have good deals. But fuck YT.
