  • In the context of the meme shared by OP, we're talking about things that go a bit beyond the scope of stuff we don't disagree with. Like things that right wing extremists would say

  • Ah, thank you for clarifying. If it helps at all, fountain pens can write with minimal pressure (although getting out of the habit of using a lot of pressure is hard to break [I personally blame shitty ballpoint pens + the intense pressure of standardized tests in the state of New Jersey for why I wrote way too hard for so much of my life]). As far as bleed thru goes, there are different brands and types of paper that help mitigate this too. Even if you're not using fountain pens, I would recommend trying different paper for more comfortable hand writing tasks.

Also, I'm sorry if it comes across as proselytizing. I just really like my current writing tools, and I spent a long time of my life hating my handwriting (and hating writing by hand because of how I'd cramp up). Because of that, I just want to share my experience with other methods

  • If a life form alien to me was going to suddenly, randomly (from my perspective) kill me to use me as food, I don't think I would necessarily mind because I had no idea it was going to happen. If I lived my entire life in fear that I could be killed at any moment, I'd be less ok with it.

I guess what I was going for was that trying to compare a chicken's understanding of mortality to our own isn't a compelling argument to me. I think the simple fact that they're alive and deserve to be treated with dignity is a better argument.

  • I feel like there's an equal amount of people being stinkers + people trying to remind others to be chill/happy to not be on reddit and trying promote positivity. At least that's my perception of what I've experienced

  • And even before the sharpie, the demand to see a topless photo before any "genuine" conversation would be allowed to take place

  • What do you mean?

  • Turd shelf toilet bowl?

  • Would chickens really know tho?

  • Former RIF user + current Jerboa user, too. I'm happy so far. I'm also very casual/waaaay less tech knowledgeable than most other people on the platform, and I'm sure that has influenced my opionion

  • The only way I'd do that is if my employer paid for travel, food, and lodging. And even then, I'd do as much as I could before leaving and then just phone it in during the week as much as possible.

  • What's happening to the users' bodies and how are things handled financially for this hypothetical scenario?

  • Yeah, that's fair. I suggest them only because they're a bit easier on the hands

  • Have you tried fountain pens?

  • Can't wait for the dystopic super soldiers developed solely for oil baron PMCs

  • She used to post on /b/ and made YouTube videos. She definitely used to be more edgy. The phrase, "shoe on head," was frequently asked when somebody would post a picture of themselves on /b/. Because it's almost entirely teenage boys, the chances of talking to a guy posting stolen pictures from some girl's Photobucket account was almost a guarantee. So guys started requesting weird things like, "post a picture with a shoe on your head," to prove the girl was actually a girl. I hope I typed this out coherently. I'm sleep deprived

  • The only part that sounded like dementia to me was the reference to the old song. The part about, "I want to claim my tits," sounded waaay more like alcohol
