For technical discussions I still find Hacker News much better than both Lemmy and Reddit.

I haven't found enough content on Lemmy to keep me interested daily...

I haven't yet become addicted to Lemmy. Still relapsing from a decade of Reddit. I barely remember how to live without it.

I'm not sure if the alternative (being unemployed) is any healthier.

So many people boast about not using TikTok. Then waste comparable amounts of time on YouTube/FB/Instagram Shorts.

I don't see how nano is anything like Emacs... Though if you like nano you might also like micro.

I don't know if this is widespread, but I started getting video ads on YouTube while using Chrome, despite having uBlock Origin. Firefox + uBlock Origin still works great though!

This has not been my experience. I always turn on Play Protect but almost never recieve warnings about APKs. I install plenty of apps outside of the Play Store, even some sketchy ones. The only one that ever gave me a Play Protect warning is Lucky Patcher.

That's interesting, I didn't know this can be configured in one line. When I searched how to configure unattended-upgrades myself I only found long solutions.

What does that do?
