  • ETA: I know a horse is a living being and not a toy.

Fuck yeah! I always wanted a horse even though I don't ride and never have aside from a couple of times. Nothing professional. Did not grow up around farms or horses. City folk through and through.

Now my kid is an equestrian and I will never forget their face when we got their horse! It felt so good to be able to do that for them and they take such good care of their animal.

  • Back when chatrooms were a thing, me as an edgy teenager, wanted something that I thought made me appear dark and mysterious so I chose Der teufel (the devil) as my handle. Most people couldn't read it properly and called me Truffle instead and I embraced it happily.

  • I came here after the API falldown and I like how quiet and normal it feels. I like coming across people in different threads and topics and while sometimes I'd like to see/read more content, this also helps me put the phone down.

  • You got this! Yes, but in my case they came and went on waves. Certain places or activities triggered me more than others so I avoided them until I felt I could master it. It will get better!!

  • Good for you! That is a long time. Yes it happens to me too sometimes, but then again I just laugh because now I find it disgusting and the smell is awful but then there is that part of my mind that associates smoking with some pretty good times in my life, not because of the smoking per se, but the reminiscence and nostalgia of it all.

  • What an interesting experience! Thanks for sharing. What a beatiful thing is to appreciate simple things. My now husband went through something I think similar to what you've described while practicing judo. He was a competitive judoka for many years and while the physical part was important, the spiritual part about living in a dojo and all that it entails, made a deep impression on how he lives his life and permeated a bit into mine in a way.

  • Yes you are correct. It takes a while getting used to that "empty" mindset. I don't know what else to call it.

Whoa! That is something I would love to do some day. How was your experience in such a place?

When I started my journey what helped me the most, was yoga. The movement along with breathing properly made me feel so whole and complete that I haven't stopped since.

  • Absolutely! It made such a difference in my life being able to sleep through the night! I had gone down the benzos and or weed route making me fall a asleep but not truly resting. Magnesium is now a staple for me.
