I feel physically ill... I went to school from 96 to 2010.... I remember social studies and American history... The Holocaust being taught... I remember asking my teachers... What would happen if people tried to change our country to dictatorships... Every teacher was emphatic that it would never happen.. one, because both parties love the country and two this is why we learn about Hitler and Stalin.......

Dude screw reddit.. I should have quit July 1st when they took away my boost for reddit 3party app.. but I couldn't stand FB discussion which is deluded with terrorist claiming to be Christians and Republicans... I can't stand the boners they get for any cop video... So I tried going back to reddit.. then the ban came.. I searched around and some how found lemmy.. and I am glad I did. I like it here better. I like that it's new too
What? It's not a copy pasta . This happened. I was sunshine-filters and had over 90k karma. Had the account for four years alone with my alternative account that was similarly named. Lost them both. Super pissed. Made new emails and new account, Instan bans. Found the VPN strategy and it worked for a while until it didn't.. still not sure how the VPN failed me
Yeah I get it. I was second chair for our highschool orchestra and symphonic orchestra. I also played pit orchestra for our plays. I definitely miss it.. but I just don't have time to play it like I would want... I also need to relearn to count and sight read
Dude fuck reddit. They ban/suspendel accounts for seriously petty shit and then give no recourse and you can't make new accounts. It's absolutely bs. Yes I am bitter but I am glad to have lemmy because it does feel like reddit but I don't feel so gauged by edge lord mods..... Well yet any ways.. got into an argument with a mod they reported me for harassment and I got banned.. I have tried to make new accounts and the get suspended. I tried VPN and then making the accounts and it worked for a bit, but then they suspended me again cause I commented on the sub I got in a fight with the mod on... Such bs
Was violist (played the viola) for years. It's similar to a violin just a bit bigger and deeper. Have a true love for it... But it's expensive to maintain after a while because it's good to keep up private lessons, the maintenance of the instrument, and then having to buy sheet music/music books for only playing one song, one passage.. I miss it.. not the most expensive hobby, but got that way for me cause I am a mom of four and married.. SOOOO yeah
I'm just happy to find a reddit alternative. Reddit decided to ban my account because I had two linked accounts and both accounts made a comment on the same post accidentally, because I forgot my main profile has already commented.. I got perma banned for what they said was cheating the system?!?! I made a two new emails and two new accounts and instantly banned on those too... Dude I was and am pissed, because my accounts were four years old with great interactions and subs... With no recourse to appeal... Found Lemmy.world by chance, today.. and so far I am really happy with it. I saw that the app Boost will be coming out with its own app to host lemmt and I am all for it.
More content from entertainment shows as threads to explore. I love The challenge fromMTV, What we do in the shadows and other shows.. I love having discussion with others after a new episode drops to see what others thought.. I would like that here
