Another issue is that Steam already does so much for both the consumer and developers. People got all pissed about their 30% cut (mostly because Epic told them to tbh) but Steam actually does provide a lot of services for games on the platform like Workshop. I guess they technically provide forums too but those are a hell scape and would probably be better off destroyed.

Yeah, that's why they failed. They opted for really short sighted options and throwing money at it rather than actually trying to compete legitimately.

These are good points. Problem is that he's basically the only other choice and arguing about whether or not to vote for him only helps Trump right now. I would absolutely vote for someone other than Biden if I thought it would do any good, but it won't. Like it or not we have a two party system in the US so it's Biden or Trump right now.

Yeah there's been plenty of competition with a lot of money behind them that have still failed to beat Steam, look at Epic

Iirc the head creator of Pokemon has actually explicitly said that Dragon Quest V was a major inspiration for Pokemon

I can guarantee that Nintendo doesn't even remotely care about the game. Pokemon is the best selling IP of all time iirc, so they basically have no reason to change.

As someone who's played my fair share of Ark, I'd definitely say it's more polished than Ark already

I agreed I expected a mess but actually got a very good, well thought out game. They definitely got a lot of their ideas from other games but I don't think that's a bad thing when they take all these separate ideas and mix them in a novel way.

Idk I think the new art style is good. They probably didn't want it looking like Rimworld anymore and wanted to have 3D for the verticality that was lacking in the original.

Investing into your reputation should be a business decision tbh. More companies should pay attention to what people actually think of their practices.

Oh, absolutely, it's a completely different experience now than on launch. It's a properly good RPG nowadays, although your choices don't matter much in the storyline.

Honestly they've already reclaimed a lot of rep fixing cyberpunk, especially after the 2.0 update.
