  • Yeah! For us it was me (male) and my girlfriend who have been together 5ish years at the time and we met a girl who we really meshed with and became good friends with. Our friends joked around that we should just all date each other since we hung out so much. One day we got drunk and admitted we'd be open to it so we asked each other out and have been a throuple since!

Most of our friend group is very accepting. Our families, however, are not lol.

  • I'm in a poly throuple and we play these games:

    -League of Legends

-Super Mecha Champions (It's like Apex but with bots and the real players aren't as good so we don't get absolutely crushed every time we play which is nice)

    -Stardew Valley

-Eternal Return (League + Battle Royale)

    -Divinity 2

    -Overcooked

    -Borderlands

    -FF14

    -Tabletop Simulator (Board Games)

  • I like basically every bill except maybe AB 645 so this is great news! Way better than my state Alabama lol.

So you don't have to go back to the article to see:

AB 645: Allows six cities - Glendale, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Oakland, San Francisco and San Jose - to install speed cameras. The law requires cities to put up signage warning drivers they could get a ticket if they don't slow down before approaching the speed camera.

  • There are incredibly few people in my life who would've been worth the massive amount of effort and pain and sheer dedication this kind of conversion requires.

PREACH! I had to cut my sister out of my life because of her stupid MAGA husband. I can't even begin to imagine how much work it would take to pull someone back from far right to just centrist let alone any more left than that.

  • I kept my phone number from a different state so everyone that calls from that area code can be ignored. I also have AT&T's ActiveArmor app (free) and it blocks most of them. I used to get 2-4 a day but I'm down to 1ish a week now.

Answering vs not answering didn't really ever make a difference for me, but I've heard lots of things like don't answer and they'll think the line isn't real or answer but play the do Do DO sound effect or answer but leave it silent. Not sure if any will help.

  • I'll admit I did that. I voted for Bernie in the Primary and then didn't vote in the General. Although I lived in Oklahoma where Trump beat Clinton by 529k votes and hasn't been blue in the last 50 years...

I'd like to think I would have voted for Clinton if my vote counted for anything. If we got rid of the electoral college then I feel like the voting percentage would go up across the country as Republicans in California and Democrats in Alabama would suddenly have a reason to actually vote. I live in Alabama now and it is a STUGGLE to get any of my friends to take the time to go vote.

  • Purely commenting on the TikTok and not the article:

"... career fair aimed at women and non-binary tech workers..." and then there's a TikTok that says "A conference for (wo)men by women" and "the allies are totally allying"

So do only female presenting nonbinary people count?

(I know if you read the article that it says there was an increase in the number of self identifying males but how would the TikToker know that? The TikToker is just looking at the crowd and assuming that the place is overrun with men without actually checking if they're NB.)

  • "But there are concerns that programs like this can incentivize spammy posting, or 'engagement bait.' "

The cryptocurrency subreddit started this a while back with their Moons and it completely changed how the whole subreddit worked. The monetary incentive seems to ruin any sort of natural engagement.

  • "Lorena Gonzalez Fletcher, head of the California Labor Federation, said driverless trucks are dangerous..." Well are they dangerous? Is there any data to back up that claim? And is there data to back up the claim that keeping the driver in the vehicle makes it safe again?

I hate this "save the jobs" attitude. How about we not save the jobs and pay them to get other jobs or even pay them to stay home?
