Yeah I have premium and every account I have that offers 2fa is set up but Lemmy will only let me set it up in authy or Google auth. It won't give bitwarden as an option or give me the code to manually add it to bitwarden.

As someone who dosn't have carplay but whose next vehicle will 100% have it. Yeah... as much as I dislike using my phone as a GPS sometimes compared to have android auto or carplay in a work truck there is zero chance of me spending money on any kinda of GPS while google maps exists.

wait wait wait. how did you get lemmy 2FA into bitwarden. I can only get it to set up in authy or google auth

I had the same problem on the liftoff app. Had to delete the account then sign back in and everything worked perfectly again. Personally I also changed my password because it made me feel better.

Yeah. I think I get how it works now. I will post/comment from whichever instance I choose to browse from at the top on the app. I don't know if its possible with lemmy but it would be cool to be able o choose the account you are posting/commenting with from inside the post/comment you are making. Was a feature on Sync that I used sometimes.

If that's true then the 2FA is worthless. even when you do set it up there isn't a verification process like most other sites so if an instance admin can just reset the account to turn it off and give me the account back that's horrible for security.

Lemmynsfw.com is larger and I believe they allow just about anything consensual and legal.

PornLemmy.com is more into the vanilla things and is more heavily moderated in the communities and posts they allow there.

No certainly not perfect but can help bridge the gap until the feature is there.

Yeah I use Bitwarden for all my passwords and 2FA I have Authy and Google Auth as well but bitwarden will auto copy my 2FA

If you had 2FA enabled and aren't logged into a browser anymore I think your pretty much just fucked. I've tried to get 2FA working with bitwarden and found out that even if you don't set up 2FA it's still enabled on the account once you check the box.

As someone from lemmy.world this is good to know. I would love to set up 2FA on my account but I can only set it up on my phone and it forces me to open in an app I don't want to use. Yay me. Glad I used a temp email and random password though. Off I go to change the password

Not a direct fix but what I've always done is interact with every post I scroll past. Either up or down depending on how I feel about it. If I'm not sure it just gets a free upvote so if I switch devices I know what I've seen.
