I already heard people complaining about "oxygen deprivation" due to masks as early as last year, it wouldn't surpsise me to hear people using that excuse even earlier.
In this specific instance, one of my parents church friends was talking about how much of a mental decline they've noticed in themselves since they had to wear a mask so much.
I really wanted to chime in with "My ex-brother-in-christ, I have known you for twenty plus years, and you have ALWAYS been this stupid" but it wouldn't be worth the fight with my parents.
At least they aren't that stupid. They just value their friends over common sense. Those might be contradictory statements...
Lol that's some awardspeechedit content right there.
Now it really IS like being on r*ddit again.
Edit: to anyone wondering about the deleted comment, the guy was being pedantic about wording implying a different meaning, and then whined in an edit that this place is just like the other place because he got "downvoted for providing scientific fact" or something along those lines.
I've come to the realization that the only people truly believing ruZZian excuses, are people too young to know better. And not in a "hurr it's all 12 year Olds" kind of way but in a "you have not paying attention to the wider world for long enough to know how some places just are"
And yeah, sure we all know what we want the world to be, but unfortunately right now we have to deal with how things are.
And how things are shows that Russia is clearly in the wrong here, full stop.
There's a guy with a permanent booth at a local flea market, and it's absolutely covered in the most mallninjashit material you can possibly imagine, and the guy wears a trench coat, and a fedora.
When you talk to him, he's a totally normal dude who started doing this when he was a teenager and actually dressed like that unironically, but now it's basically his sales outfit. "playing the part" as it were. Outside the market you might not even recognize him
It gets old seeing the people with power continue to use it delicately so as not to upset people, while also not doing a goddamn thing about the opposition who FULLY abuses everything they can touch.
It's always the same thing
One side speaks respectfully of the other
one side doesn't push hardline questions and issues when they know can get the other side to say something that shoots themselves in the foot
One side tries to keep the peace
One side treats people with kiddie gloves
One side has reasonable policies and goals, or just simply doesn't change bad ones
The other side however, is constantly spraying a firehose of bullshit all over everything at every opportunity by constantly sabotaging the entire country in order to "one up" some imaginary opponent, actively calling for persecution AND prosecution of anyone who doesn't fit their cookie cutter mould (that they themselves don't need to fit into), punishes anyone for trying to make the country better, and has no qualms with lying, cheating, sabotaging, straight up committing massive amounts of felonies, all for no better reason than the infantile desire to be in opposition of something that helps another person.
To put it bluntly, if I were as old as he is, I would just start ordering things to happen, because ultimately the worst that happens is the people say no, put me in a cushy federal resort prison for a couple years, and I'm dead.
I trust plenty of people with physical limitations to do mental things, but not physical things.
The grips on mine are fiberglass reinforced epoxy resin and while I do wish they were a nice ironwood or like mesquite, they're comfortable. Ebay special.
I've held a few CZ firearms, and they all feel like they were made with ergonomics in mind. The again, they've got the price tag to show it...
I know a guy who bought one, and to prove how much he NEEDS a truck, and how much TRUCKING he does with it, he posts social media updates about all the hard work it does.
Hard work such as:
Picking up a single 50lb bag of dog food
moving 5 bags of potting soil
taking the dogs to the groomer
driving through THE LARGEST PUDDLE I THE KROGER PARKING LOT!!!! Come on guys it's like SIX INCHES!
-Hardcore downhill off-roading on extremely rocky terrain (an obviously tilted camera to make the grade seem steeper, on a poorly maintained gravel road)
I think my 94 Cutlass can do all those at the same time.
It makes me wonder if he's making these posts for the tesla PR team to like... Try and get some kind of recognition. Idk it's always weird and preachy about how great it is, and every single "feature" is something I can already do, or could do with $15 and a trip to an electronics store.
A local factory likes people with college degrees, any degree, no matter what college or course, but also offer tests twice a year in large groups for exactly the reason that plenty y of people are qualified, and can do everything they need, but never went to college.
Will they? Probably not unless it's a niche employer. Why bother going through the extra effort when you can just say "degrees only" and turn your nose up at anyone without one?
I could see an argument where "paranoia made you check your posts/comments or you wouldn't have noticed"
But I've also noticed stuff like that simple because when I reply to a comment, I see the votes and notice there's always a weird single down vote on almost everything.
So while I don't think you are paranoid, I do see how one could try to argue that point.
