  • At this point, I'm almost positive that a republican US president could sign a treaty with north Korea, China, Russia, and Fucking Thanos, and everyone launches nukes, and world leaders and media outlets alike (that survive the ensuing shit show) would STILL beat around the bush and ask "What's all this, then?" like things aren't glaringly obvious.

"Well we can't report reality, or we might get accused of bias..." is getting old.

  • Same, plus or minus a year.

It took me a week, but I scrambled every comment and post with lorem ipsum and bee movie scripts, deleted the comments, then after verifying I could no longer find any of my original content on any search engine outside archive sites, I deleted the account.

It took so long because r*ddit started limiting API access when they realized people were automating their profile scrubbing.

As I've said before about certain countries, if you're doing everything you can to prevent people from leaving [THING/PLACE] then you might just be shit.

  • "Russia might continue interfering in international politics while supporting a Russian asset they've interfered with international politics before to support"

I know things like this should be pointed out at ANY AND EVERY OPPORTUNITY, because apparently people have short attention spans..... But holy shit reading stuff like this just makes me think the average person is so out of touch with reality that they literally need daily reminders that one of the shittiest people they know is still shitty.

The only people who don't think Russia has something on Trump that makes him an asset that they can use to destabilize politics in a rival country at any and every opportunity, are people somehow ignorant of the last decade of history, useful idiots, and people being paid to think that.

  • In the tiny amount of time we have to comprehend our impending doom should the sun explode (we will know in 8ish minutes, the force arrives very shortly after that), they would report "SUN APPEARS TO EXPLODE, WHAT COULD THIS MEAN FOR FUTURE ELECTIONS?"

  • I want a game like Sid Meiers Pirates: Live the life, but in the style of Black Flag.

I basically don't have friends anymore, so no sea of thieves, and it frustrated me when we did try playing a few years back.

I still fire the Xbox up occasionally so I can roam around plundering shi(t/p)

  • I think it's less "they think the position is already a dictator" and more "the general public has absolutely no idea how the office of the president works, or how the powers and limitations on various branches work in general" which is a failing of their education, and a poor reflection on the country as a whole.

Of course that's exactly the way the republicunts like it, "keep the population dumb and they won't even question why you're oppressing them"

If your only experience with the president and their powers comes from (for millennial anyway) various crises (manufactured and non) where the president says "I'm signing this thing to do this" and because the vast majority of congress is behind them, as well as the regular) rest of the population, and it gets done (I'm thinking of things like Iraq), I can see someone thinking "well the president signed a paper, so it MUST happen"

Which is sad funny since I hear the minimum wage comment a lot, but like... How well do you think that will go? It will go just like the student loan bullshit.

And republicunts are such fucking insecure losers, they will happily drag the entire planet down into their bullshit to prevent even one single other person from getting help that they believe they're entitled to the entirety of.

    You know. Like Toddlers.

  • And entire neighborhoods, but it's totally okay because those were "poor" (aka majority black/Hispanic)

The cops investigated themselves, so we know it was a legitimate bombing and not some kind of hate crime disguised as excessive force.

Here's the ------> /s <------- since I know some people who unironically believe things like this.

  • How do you forget Vietnam...

  • Personally I think the biggest issue beyond the obvious "this sure will get us a lot of views/clicks" is that some outlets try to maintain the perception of "balance"

"Well we CAN'T call them deranged maniacs hell-bent on destroying democracy, or people will say we're biased!"

"but sir, they ARE deranged maniacs hell-bent on destroying democracy"

"yes, but if we TELL people that, they'll decide we're biased"

  • Anecdotally at least, medical can be given as "general discharge" and it's neither honorable nor dishonorable, it's just "you're discharged, bye"

That's how mine went, at least. I don't personally know anyone else who got medically discharged who wasn't on their second or third re-up.

Although I do know of one guy who got absolutely fucked over by military medical, and after 18 months of negotiation recieved an honorable discharge and will be receiving e-8 pay for the rest of his life... It's a permanent medical condition caused by the medical facility, and a medical discharge, but it's "honorable".

So my vast knowledge of discharge conditions and medical brings it to 1 honorable, 1 general.

  • Got WAY closer than 60ft though.

I remember watching that and losing my shit.

Of course at the time, it was because I was a teenager and "haha president almost got hit by a shoe"

Now it's funny for different reasons, but still.

  • You know, it's funny because the moment I saw the picture where you could see a little blood, I thought to myself "did anyone make sure he didn't have a ketchup packet in his pockets?"

And sure enough, I'm never original...

  • Chemistry is fascinating, and if you look at molecular structures of things, you can make SO many things out of other things with the right reactions and filters.

The trick is making the reactions work without binding toxic chemicals to the end product.

So that limits what you can use, but there are still so many options for things.

You'd be surprised what you can use to make aspirin.

  • Literally two words like "stay strong" would have been infinitely better. And that was literally the very first thing that popped into my head. I'm sure I could come up with something a little more meaningful given a few seconds of thought.

  • I didn't get it right away, since I try not to buy anything in the first month it's out so I get a good feel of the game. Also, you know... poor. But mostly the first thing.

But holy shit the videos of dragon fights..... I had to fight an impulse buy.

Since then I've spent over $100 on various copies for various consoles and my computer, all on sale. It may not seem like much, but when 95% of my library was purchased during sales and events.... That's a lot.

It's not perfect, but there are so many mods for it, you can tailor it to whatever you want. Personally, I like a bit of survival mechanics like food/water and temperatures/wetness. I also like the older oblivion style of magic combat.

Bethesda may not have made the greatest video game of all time, but at this point it might as well be the best fantasy RPG-lite sandbox I've played. The only thing that could make it better is a settlement system like fallout. I like to build.
