  • You could, but that information gets stale pretty quickly and is tricky to do with the ACLs.

  • The average is higher because in some parts of the country people are inhaling almost a whole macroburger.

  • Yeesh. I've had teachers that will give points back if all (or nearly all) students get a question wrong on a test because they know it's more likely their own failure than the students. Maybe the question is confusing or poorly worded, maybe the material wasn't covered or it's too difficult with the amount of time available.

  • I want to criticize this but I have multiple production environments with no DHCP and the process for provisioning new servers is basically "Guess an ipv4 address and if you pick one that's already in use the build will fail and you can guess again."

This is arguably better which is a little embarrassing.

  • Crowbar go bonk.

But wait Thanos is a titan, his HP bar must be huge.

    BONK. FASTER!

  • Project Zomboid.

It's bleak and definitely isn't for everyone but I really get sucked into it. The permadeath aspect usually turns me off a game but in this case it completely breaks me of my habit of save scumming. Every zombie encounter is tense, a single mistake can leave you infected. Sometimes there are long quiet periods where I just survive holed up somewhere safe, reading books, exercising or sorting/building. Other times it's extremely intense trying to drive through town with a horde on my tail trying to lure them away and double back so I can loot an area.

I find myself looking up the world map at work and planning a route towards a new area or trying to find a suitable spot for a base that meets my survival needs.

  • Ah Rimworld. What are other games except brief distractions from more Rimworld?

  • The internet was so ruthless almost immediately on this one. I feel like every newsworthy event has detractors and defenders but this submarine business had literally everyone shitting on them the second the news broke. In a sick sort of internet way it was practically wholesome.

  • Sitting drule

  • Sitting drule

  • Piss sitting down but shit standing up.

  • Don't even bother rebuilding the bridge, my imaginary hover train will be even cheaper and faster.

  • They'll require a persistent online connection for cloud compute.

  • I got into Linux because it had cool 3d cube effects. Now I use Linux because people pay me to... And because it has cool stuff like 3d cube effects.

  • I'm just in this thread for info on zerglings now.

  • 'It doesn't meet my needs' seems like light criticism but I understand your point. I'm eternally thankful to devs but at a certain point it either does what you need or it doesn't.

  • Never underestimate how much the ruling class is just frothing at the mouth for war. We could destroy the planet and everything living on it several times over. The only evidence of humanities existence may one day be a few rovers on Mars and a ring of fine dust and plastic orbiting the sun.

  • I love FOSS but GIMP and Inkscape aren't nearly as usable or feature rich as the Affinity suite, let alone the Adobe suite.

  • They "trust me". Dumb fucks.

    Mark Zuckerberg

  • I haven't played Palworld but I'm told that you can capture people and force them to work for you. So technically the US is already ahead of this.

  • This wrestles my jimmies.
