I wonder what their basis for detaining people is...

They detained U.S. citizens and a military vet. Were they just detaining people because they looked like immigrants? Are they literally just detaining brown people?

I made a comment about a week ago on a post when they first said they were gonna do this asking how long it'll take for it to go from detaining immigrants to just brown people. Guess we didn't have to wait long, Jesus fucking Christ.

Shit, I'm in the same boat with energy drinks. All the cashiers make jokes about how they already know the price. It's like a roll reversal of customers making jokes like "that means it's free, right?"

I hate it, but I know their job sucks so I don't say anything.

Kinda related, but one of my roommates says they uninstalled TikTok and have been only using Instagram. Yesterday she said "all I wanna see is cute pictures of cats but my feed is full of racist jokes."

That's what everyone was saying online but no solutions have worked. Since I can't boot into Arch I've been having to go through the install USB to get anything done so it's been super tedious. My next idea was going to try a different boot loader if I can't get it to work.

My man, I have been trying. Been trying to dual boot since I still need windows for work but I cannot for the life of me get Grub to work. It shows up in the install terminal, but after I reset it immediately disappears as a boot option from my and Linux. I've been racking my brain for days and no solution online works. The closest I got was getting to the Grub terminal, but it still couldn't boot into arch.

Meanwhile my laptop is dual booting with no problems whatsoever after doing basically the exact same thing. It doesn't make any sense

For all the Republicans that aren't Nazis that probably lurk around posts like this. Do you really wanna be on the same side of this argument as these guys? I know you guys are out there because I see comments every now and then. And I know not every Republican is racist or a fascist, but the racists and fascists love this. They're not just trying to defend someone that's on their side, they are excited to see this. You can't accidentally do a Nazi salute just like you can't accidentally get the support of other Nazis. You have to do that shit on purpose.

Not denying that. But at the same time I'm pretty sure every president since Bill Clinton would have done the exact same thing because they're all a bunch of cowards. And things will only get worse under Trump. The only candidate that would have taken action is someone like Bernie Sanders. Like him or not, at least he's not a fucking coward. I understand the need to protest, but refusing to vote for the lesser of two evils is basically just a vote for the more evil choice.

I think the expectation that a candidate should do everything you want them too is just naive. From the most mundane of policies to literal war crimes you can't expect to agree on everything. There has never been a "perfect" candidate. Innocent people are getting killed on a daily basis over there and the fact that both candidates didn't seem to give a shit is disgusting. And I know it's a fucked up situation and it's a fucked up choice to even make, but it was our choice to make and we fucked it up. We can blame the candidates all we want, but at the end of the day it was our choice to vote for who we wanted to vote for. And the result of that was fucking Trump.

I mean, this was probably the point from the beginning. I'm sure this has been their plan since they saw that he could turn a place like Twitter into a propaganda machine in just under a year. I'm probably just grasping at straws here, but it seems pretty sus that the TikTok ban only started gaining traction around the time Elmo turned Twitter into a shit hole.

My guess is "Rebirth" or the first part of "Benders Game," I can't remember which. I just remember when they first made the jump to HD, the first episode had hypnotoad in the very beginning with Bender saying they were testing the emergency Hypnotoad or something like that.

Which is totally fair. I'm just saying there are a fuck ton of people that either don't care, aren't invested in politics, or aren't online as much as we are. Or if they are online they sure as shit ain't here or on Reddit. They're on websites like Facebook where they get fed ragebait like it's candy because it gets facebook more clicks and more money. It's easy to see these people as just "stupid" but in reality this is the internet to them and that's all they see. They're not stupid necessarily, but when it comes to the important shit they're definitely ignorant.

As a mostly straight dude, my guess is that it means "please be nice to me but also be mean to me when I ask nicely."

Or maybe I'm just projecting. 🤫

Had a long winded comment written out but decided against sending it because like I said, I'm not trying to start an argument. I'm just trying to raise some points.

But just so you know I don't think the genocide in Gaza is made up. And i think its fucked up that the US decided it doesn't matter because Israel is our ally. But at the end of the day I'd vote against fascism any day of the week. Because that's how you get even more genocide. And an abstained vote is a vote for your enemy.

As much as I wanna say this is smart in some kinda way, the only thing that comes to mind is that this mf thinks Spain is in South America because they speak Spanish.

Eventually it'll be $200 and the only thing you can watch is Bojack Horseman because every IP has its own streaming service.
