  • People always say to end toxic relationships. And we are the toxic partner in this relationship. And it doesn't matter if you didn't vote for Trump. Unless you are actively doing something against it you are complicit. And when I see pictures and videos or go to one of the 50501 protests I feel proud, but also disappointed. Proud of the people that showed up, but disappointed that more didn't. And when I see congress holding up tiny signs and wearing pink, I'm proud that they are resisting, but so frustratingly disappointed that they didn't bring a megaphone and protest like a real American. None of this "high road" or "someone will save us" bullshit anymore.

Act like you are one of the people that is losing their rights. Because if you wait until it's your rights, there won't be anyone left to have your back.

  • And this is what blows my mind with the Republican politicians supporting him. All it takes is one thing to disagree on and next thing you know you are a traitor. I'm sure they'll go after SCOTUS next for their USAID ruling. That's literally how cults work. Either you are 100% in 100% of the time, or you are out. They all want a slice of the pie or to not get "vaporized" during the process, but they need to realize this alliance is as fragile as Elmo's masculinity. All you gotta do is Google what happened to the people that got certain dictators into power to know what you are in for. Giving 50 fucking standing ovations for meaningless bullshit during the State of the Union address won't mean shit when you are not useful to them anymore.

  • I had no idea either. But I also haven't been to target in about 6 months and I've been boycotting pretty much everywhere else since last year. I haven't even done online shopping since October and it's been kinda nice going to actual stores again. Was gonna get a Costco membership next so I don't have to use Kroger. Unfortunately, the nearest Costco to me is about an hour away. Fortunately, I like driving.

  • You could look at any country in the world and find leaders that were just as bad and even worse throughout history. I think the takeaway should be that shitty people exist. Some of it is a product of the times, some of it just being awful people. Shitty people have and always will exist.

Edit: With these downvotes it almost seems like y'all thought I was defending them. I absolutely was not defending them. :)

  • Commander has always been my least favorite way to play. I have no comment on anything else because I lost interest completely when they started pushing it. But I will say, every time I hear news about it I'm glad that I stopped dumping money into that cash cow of a card game. And from a business standpoint, I feel they've shot themselves in the foot. The reason why Pokemon cards are still so widely sought after is because, for the most part, things have stayed the same (And collectors, of course). With MTG there's basically no point in owning any cards before 2016 since they're all underpowered or illegal in any formal setting. Besides hardcore collectors, they're basically just cardboard.

  • Hey, I got something I'd like to say to my fellow Americans. We need to stop being embarrassed and start getting angry. We can't just apologize for Zelensky being berated on live TV in front of the whole world. Stop apologizing and start making a difference. Join a protest and stop letting the orange dictator speak for your country.

  • “This level of deception is something I’d expect to see from the Biden admin,” she wrote in one post.

Jesus these guys are delusional. Literally everyone else expected this. Also, they're probably both on the list, let's be honest here.

  • All in an effort to save less than a percent of the US budget. Musk could literally solve every problem in the US with his billions of dollars and still have more money than he could ever spend in one lifetime, yet we need to cut aid to other countries because it's "wasteful."

  • If anything, women should have the resources to take care of their kids. I understand that postpartum psychosis and depression is a real issue that sometimes has no easy solution, but this woman killed her child. I'm not saying this woman is evil but she still did something evil. I remember reading a story a few weeks back about a woman that shot her three kids in the head while they were sleeping because of postpartum psychosis. She may not have been evil, but murdering all of your children is evil.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I see some people (not necessarily you, just some people) talk about it as an excuse for their actions instead of it just being the reason. And that's how we need to treat it because these women should be able to get the help they need so this doesn't happen. It's not like we haven't known about it for years.

  • I'm so tired of people saying this. Not that you're wrong, just that it's a terrible mentality for us to move forward. We are going to need our neighbors, regardless of political background, more than ever in the coming years. And constantly saying "I told you so" is only going to piss them off to the point they will never have your back. Besides the obviously racist and misogynistic ones, a lot of those that voted for Trump were just ignorant about what he was going to do.

Believe it or not, there are people that don't use social media, or watch the news, or stay up to date on current events. Some people don't even have a smart phone. They just live a quiet life and vote based on the party without knowing a damn thing about the candidates. And some people are just more susceptible to propaganda. But if you blame people for being ignorant instead of trying to educate them you are only exasperating the situation. As soon as you call someone stupid for something you basically discredit everything you are going to say after that because they're not going to listen to you anymore.

  • As much as I absolutely hate PewDiePie with every fiber of my being, this is probably the best thing that could happen to Linux's mainstream popularity. That dude's got so many followers that it'll get a lot of people interested.
