Rocking mine since Sep 2015 approx 25k hours.
Had to replace the glide pads with some from china, the thumb rest is rubbed through, scroll wheel has some corrosion and there is no profile left on the right side rubber but technically it's still working fine.
And you don't need to have the software on all the time, just save the config on the mouse.
AFAIK the FritzBox switchs mainly to the faster DNS Server. I tried to use Quad9 with cloudfare as the second DNS server, most of the time cloudfare was the used since it was a bit faster.
Hey, before buying the fans, check the arctic p series. Arctic's p12 and p14 are up to the "premium" fans.
Somewhere middle/end 2023 arctic released the 4th revision of the p12.
Maybe spend the rest on the ram for a more known manufacturer (never buy corsairs vengeance lpx).
3 years ago I bought a double pack of usb-C to A cables on Amazon. Description mentioned a lifetime warranty so I took a screenshot for future. The only thing Anker wanted to know was the production number (which is on the packaging) and a proof of destruction of the old broken cable. Not a single usb cable survived longer than a year at our household despite Ankers.
We bought a bag less vacuum 4 years ago.
The turbo brush for pet hair stats showing some wear but the whole thing works solid to this day. Even the flimsy feeling handle is still fine

Portal Revolution for me. I'm at chapter 4 and the Mod feels like a whole complete game. Totally worth trying and if you don't have portal 2, 1+2 are on discount right now.
By default I'm using adblocker but when I notice I'm visiting a new site more frequently like wikis for games, I disable it and keep it off if the site is usable.
Is it custom build NAS or something like Synology?
As already mentioned for proper backups you should locate the NAS somewhere else.
I'm not an expert by any means so don't take my word for it. I've tinkerd with some pies befor but this was my proper first project: a NAS for my family (multiple households).
If it's for personal use, you can use a VPN to your local network. It's by far the safest option and easier to setup.
I went with OMV (openmediavault) for local sharing as OS + Docker + portainer.
For the backups and access I went with Docker Nextcloud and Docker Swag (letsencrypt) and a reserve proxy with duckdns since I don't have a fixed IP.
Nextcloud setup was the easiest part and not really a hassle. With a VPN you won't need to tinker with the "access from net" stuff.
For syncing files on Android I would recommend Autosync since it's the most reliable one IMO. No other OS tested so far.
Nextcloud can handle a lot on its own and for something special you will find a proper plugin. For the download needs you may find some docker containers.
Tbh after even 1year ago it still felt like early access... So many bugs, especially pathfinding for followers was so much broken. The only thing I wanted was to lead a pack of raptors
