  • If given the choice I'd prefer now over the past. Merely because of my health issues. It was actually pretty awesome exploring early "high-speed" internet.

  • Tobacco would make a great name for a cat

  • That's partially because of their censorship laws forbid showing the clitoris and other anatomy.

  • I've done both several times.

Tbh, it kinda sucks either way.

My biggest take away is never break routine.

Continue to wake up at a regular time and take care of yourself and the space you live in.

Never let yourself just give up or fall into the "it can wait" trap.

And the hardest part, recognise that you're stuck and talk to physical people.

  • I'm sure a lot of things would go wrong.

But for an internet perspective there's a protocol called Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) that would attempt to heal all the broken routes by rerouting through what's not broken. A bit of an oversimplification but if everything goes right the internet will continue to work.

  • Final Fantasy IX, one of the last classical FF experiences. Quite hard though.

Final Fantasy Tactics, a very enjoyable strategy game.

Mega Man Legends, this was one of my favorites but the CD was damaged so I couldn't finish the game.

  • I don't smoke but that sounds way cheaper than what I would expect.

  • After all this time I've become so used to glide typing that I don't see any value in this tool. But I guess there's a market for it. So enjoy

  • Companies need a well paid fall guy so they can demonstrate the illusion of solving the major problem by letting them retire.

  • Would 256GB/s be too slow for large llms?

  • I'd suggest looking at small embedded computers and hats for them to fit your objective.

Since you're familiar with Linux, I'm thinking an Arduino might work out. There's probably a better way but I'm imagining you configuring it to work like a USB drive and dropping in playlist files along with your music and using the hat to select your preferred playlist like a homemade iPod.

You'll want to avoid the generic junk mp3 players online since there's no way to be certain it's free of radio chips before detailed inspections. Since that stuff is typically pumped out with whatever junk was available that day.

  • I had a NES emulator that worked "ok" on my 486. Did you ever get into emulators?

  • Saw a guy who cut his finger mostly off and it was dangling. Went to the hospital with him to make sure he was ok. They couldn't save the finger. They described as trying to put a mash potato back together. 😭

  • Triforce octopus xD

  • Why not port everything to JavaScript and electron. Haha
