In Alberta, I believe playground zones are in effect until 9 pm. Makes sense in the summer, not so much in the winter. I don’t think something like Smith Ave in Burnaby should be 50 km/h though.
This might be an unpopular opinion, but I think all residential streets (2 lanes) should be 40 km/h limit. What’s the point of ripping 50-60 beside parked cars and people?
There’s contention between oil-providing Alberta vs Federal government at play. If it was up to AB and their provincial gov, they would become the 51st state.
