  • I want to avoid syncthing for my notes as I've read some people experience issues with duplicates and conflicts between versions.

  • I've been using the most recent fork and it was good, but as I said, I want to ditch Nextcloud as a whole.

  • While there seems to be a selhosted version, I can't log to it with the proprietary android app.

  • I feel stupid for missing this functionality.

That is my solution. Thank you :)

  • While the solution is clever, I just wish I could simply type some raw text in a field and ping it on to my other machine.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the purpose of syncthing was to keep files in sync between 2 machines. Not to send files nor text.

  • Thanks for your answer. I remember having tried it twice before. If I remember correctly, I ditched it because it was too complicated for my use case. But as everyone is suggesting it here, I shall give it another try :)

  • it's not because I'm credulous

Credulous might not be the word you're looking for.

  • Never posted here and only lurking because I've never been diagnosed and I just feel close to people suffering from ADHD as I can relate with a lot of symptoms.

I relate with 95% of the points you enumerate. If you get diagnosed, please, follow up.

  • This is a freaking great guide. I wish I had this wonderful resource when I started selfhosting. Thanks for this.

People might also want to have a look at pihole as an alternative to adguard for add blocking. It is awesome.

I prefer homepage over heimdall. It is more configurable, but less noob friendly.

Jellyseer is a fork of overseer that integrates very well with jellyfin. Reiveer is promising for discovering and adding content.

  • I agree there should be a visual notification in the side drawer too.

Maybe you could open an issue on the GitHub.

  • I don't. But they regularly open registration

  • sharewood dot tv

    generation-free dot org

  • There's this

  • I have prowlarr linked to my sonarr and radarr, and I use nzb360 on my phone. When away from home, I'm using a VPN tunnel to my network so I basically download a movie or series a minute after somebody recommended it.

You should also try overseerr or the cool new Reiverr.
