  • well there's a reason for that -- feeling like someone is reading your thoughts or that your will is controlled by someone else and so on are common presentations of schizophreniform disorders. they just made it fucking true!

  • oh yeah no shot the stadium would risk losing that. the dude is kind of an idiot for thinking the money he spent on seats would compare to what the stadium earns in beer money as a whole. must be new money. old money knows how to exploit people and stay in power; new money just exploits and throws it away

  • probably because you don't understand the culture and/or are only looking at specific examples.

if you want to understand korea, you need to understand pain. the national story is one of constant pain and humiliation, and finding the strength to preserve through it. listen to Arirang for starters. that's the unofficial national anthem, and it's about a girl getting fucked over by a dude trying to get a better job, because mfs were starving to death back in the day

south korea is still a piracy paradise btw

  • I'm sorry but tge fact that we can't even say "Fuck Christmas" is part of the problem. toxic positivity is baked into the holiday. it adds pressure to an already dark time

historically the holiday was about banding together through the darkest part of winter, so you are definitely speaking from a place of tradition, but...

we're allowed to feel differently from the culturally accepted way of thinking about this holiday, even if we all enjoy it. fuck christmas.

  • Man i never read all this at once. is the dude Navy or Marines??? i'd reflect how sad of a condition a human must be in to have the weight of all that death on their hands and still need to abide by trite social customs, but also it's probably just written by some fat guy who never left his parent's house

  • I mean it's absolutely nuts how many people this building holds. I'm guessing that the majority of towns across the majority of the US land area have populations smaller than this one building. Probably likewise throughout most of Europe. The population density of this building is crazy. 115/km2 (apparently the building is 260km2)
