  • Sure sure. Let's blame all the jews for that. I'm sure white supermacists, islamaphobists and nazies all have equally good justifications for their hatred as well.

Speaking of genocidal, land-grabbing fascists, do you know what "from river to the sea" means?

  • I wouldn't be able to do my job if I didn't have a license and a car so yeah I'd say it's worth it in my case. Not everybody should be driving though and based on the little information you gave it sounds like you may well be one of them.

  • Plumber here. Unless we're talking about sky scrapers the grid pressure is generally enough to lift the water to the top floors. As long as it's lower than the city water tower there's no issue. If it's a flat terrain or the building is on a hill then yes, you might need a pump to boost the pressure. Sewage on the other hand is not an issue - gravity takes care of that.

  • Most incels are sedated by porn and drugs. That's a likely reason we're not seeing a huge spike in incel violence despite the ever increasing number of them. In previous times such men would be gathering around in street corners causing trouble and kicking grannies. Not today.

    Male sedation hypothesis

  • If one assumes that merely by being a pedophile someone is danger to kids then by the same logic being a heterosexual is a danger to the opposite sex.

Most people in jail for raping children are "normal" rapists with no specific interest towards kids. They're just an easy target. Being able to rape someone requires a special kind of twisted mind. Just being sexually interested about it alone in general isn't enough. Many people have sexual interests they're not going to pursue for moral reasons. Pedophiles can and usually do have morals as well.

  • For some reason I thought someone had edited this picture and changed the people in it. I was wrong but since I spent so long going thru my archives to find it I thought I'd share

I will not answer further questions about this picture

  • Aren't most opinions like that? You can't really have an opinion about something that can be scientifically proven to be one way or another.

Yeah it can't be proven wrong but judging by my observation about the type of potato chips that are popular in my friend group, my preference for plain, salted ones seems unpopular.

  • He’s not a passive investor then. Passive investing doesn’t require any managing. What he’s doing is not the recommended style for normal people because it’s effectively gambling.

My investing requires zero managing. I set it up once and haven’t touched it since. It automatically buys more shares each month and never sells anything. If the market crashes tomorrow, I’m not doing anything differently. It’s like automatically moving money to a savings account each month, but instead of putting it in a bank, I’m buying index funds.

Keeping large amounts of money in the bank not only isn’t making you any money, but you’re losing money you’ve spent your valuable time working for. It’s like giving back around 5% of your salary each time you get it.

  • Imagine having to teach your friends and family not to touch your car or it’ll rust.

They're doing that to avoid leaving greasy fingerprints on the doors. If it had door handles this wouldn't be an issue.

Ton of people spreading misinformation about Cybertrucks rusting. It's not the body panels that rust, it's the iron particles in the air (called fallout) that land on the panels and react with the stainless steel causing rust to form but it's just surface contamination that's cleans off easily. It has to be cleaned from other vehicles as well but it doesn't form rust because it doesn't contact the metal panels due to paint and clearcoat. It's not a non-issue but claiming water makes it rust is dishonest. It's not water that's the issue. It's iron, mostly from brake dust.

  • I guess this is essentially a philosophical question. Kind of like "would you defend your country?"

You can say you would but how could you ever really know unless the situation actually arises? Perhaps it's just my ego trying to convince I'm notably different from others.
