  • The gold-coloured cotton velvet curtains recently were nice (approx $8 each at vinnies) and made nice coats, but historically, it was the tabletop oven (kids these days call them air fryers etc) we bought for ten bucks at a lifeline and used pretty much every day for years. Such a great machine.

  • My cat is the exact opposite. It's bad to let cats out during the times crepuscular animals are out, especially in our country, and so we bring the cat in before dusk and let her out well after dawn. She happily comes in when she's meant to, because dinner is delicious. She wants out again at 3AM, just before the best hunting starts, and has loud arguments with us at dawn when we're getting ready for work.

  • Dunno, but one cat, one cat SOLO, once caused extinction of entire species singlehandedly. Imagine what letting more than one cat outdoors can do.... I come from a country where cats are not native. Probably different if cats are part of your normal biomass.

  • Yeah, I had to resort to the numbers and rereading to work it out, meaning the visualisation art is pretty much useless.

Its one of those "let's look at how they treat men and women in these countries" situations too.

  • Mate, your money does still seem monochromatic to modern eyes. I use it when I visit, and the other notes don't have that rainbow on them. I admit I am rarely exchanging more than fifty US at a time . I'm comparing those that I use to modern notes.

And security features? The shops there still accept cheques. I was surprised the economy still functioned when I found that out.
