  • I don't see much linux stuff, not subscribed to it, but it is better here than seeing all that sodding windows propaganda everywhere. My opinion is that the feddiverse is mostly star trek, but again, probably what I happen to have subscribed to. Why did you subscribe to all the linux based interest groups if you aren't interested in Linux?

  • My two are rescues also, and they are very good about food. They eat from the bowl, but they don't overeat. I expected cats that had been so dangerously undernourished as kittens would have overeating disorders, but they are very good.

  • ....Personally wouldn't recommend to most of my teenage high/secondary education students, but univerity/tertiary education students would likely benefit from the idea.

Most public (government run) high schools have a private media place for students and staff already, so it's not like it would be a new concept, and federating them between schools but not to the general public would be an interesting concept.

  • Having watched so many subarus break down (belonged to neighbours and friends, and I was the person called to rescue them) some of which were brand new, buy any vehicle other than the rubbish sold with a subaru logo on it. Subaru breaks down on dirt roads constantly. Those things can only cope with flat perfect tarmac without hills in a city where public transport is available for emergencies.

A few days ago my brother saw a car on the side of the road at an odd angle, and thought it was for sale. It was not, it was yet another subaru broken down waiting for the flatbed. They just can't hack it.

  • Just because it's cheaper doesn't mean that you suddenly need it when you didn't need it before.

And just because they tell you it's cheaper doesn't mean that it is cheaper.

So go price something you want now, so that when the price theoretically falls you know whether it should be bought at all.

  • Google suggests the searches you might want to do, such as images, maps or shopping. The first one is always "all", but the second suggestion is based on previous searches for that item. In this case a lot of people hve already wanted to shop for this item. This is apparently an amusing concept.
