  • I guess the protests were a bit much for Bibi, so if he can pretend they are winning hard in Gaza, maybe the protests will stop. And in order to do that you can’t have some media cover the danger you pose to the hostages, so banning the media is the only logical option of course… /s

  • I think it’s really hard for them to imagine other people are not doing the thing they’re doing. Especially in this case. Apparently it’s easy to vote 9 times, and “if I’m doing it, then it would be stupid if Dems didn’t”.

So yeah, it’s always projection, because they just can’t imagine a world where others choose the morally right option.

  • Whatever happened to Israel having to prove to the ICJ they are letting sufficient aid in? Why is nothing happening, shouldn’t there be consequences for this? I know Israel generally doesn’t see consequences but it also generally doesn’t have to comply with an ICJ ruling…

  • We live in a different era now. Where we aren’t as influenced by the media anymore. They can spin stories all their want, but actually seeing the footage come out of Gaza makes it impossible to ignore or deny. The media is losing its grip and that’s what we’re experiencing.

We can no longer be pacified with “it’s not that bad” or “they are the bad guys anyway, all of them” when you see the footage of four guys being blown up, just like that. When you see the videos of parents burying their babies. When you hear the first person stories the media isn’t bringing you.

    That’s what’s different.

  • After all, President Biden recently said he cannot understand why non-Palestinians are so vested in the Palestinian plight, according to another Democracy Now report.

Can you imagine? People having sympathy for Palestinians being slaughtered?! It’s unbelievable and unforgivable, we like our people to be quiet and uninformed, thank you very much. Next thing you know they get concerned over kids being slaughtered in school shootings. The audacity!

    /s

And as a side note; he doesn’t understand why people are sympathetic to the Palestinian plight, but he is ultra sympathetic to Israel. And he doesn’t even see the irony in that…

  • “Well, that’s exactly right. And there have been allegations made by the Netanyahu government that up to 14 of those 13,000 people were involved in the horrific Oct. 7 attacks,” he said. “We should investigate it, we should hold all those people accountable. But … let’s not hold 2 million innocent Palestinian civilians who are dying of starvation, let’s not hold them, essentially, accountable for the bad acts of 14 people.”

And this is it. Every leader who immediately cut funds is more than happy to pull a Netanyahu and punish the lives of many for the acts of a few (if there is even a hint of this being true, which considering where it comes from and the provided proof, is highly doubtful). Investigate and deal with anyone who did take part in October 7, but don’t punish everyone. A long time ago we all agreed that counts as a war crime.

It clearly shows Palestinian lives are not worth the same as other lives. Why else cut all the funding to 2M+ people over the alleged acts of 0.05% of the employees of UNRWA.

  • I looked up the article (here in case anyone else wants to read it), although I would not give them more clicks honestly.

It’s absolutely despicable. They updated the headline. But nowhere in the article do they mention what’s what.

In a video shared widely on social media and reviewed by CTV News Toronto, a man holding what appears to be a nail gun can be seen grabbing a person wearing a keffiyeh.

No mention who the attacker is (Zionist) nor the victim(s), just "wearing a keffiyeh" as if the general public knows what this (either a Palestinian or pro-Palestine protester).

This is no coincidence and has got to be the worst piece of "journalism" I have seen since Oct 7.

Edit: they updated the article again, making it marginally better, but the bar is on the floor here…

  • Children with acute malnutrition have weakened immune systems and are at higher risk of dying from common childhood diseases. Those that survive could face lifelong growth and development challenges. They risk facing a future marked by illness, poor school results, and poverty with ripple effects across generations.

From the WHO on malnutrition in children. It looks like that’s a win-win in Netanyahu's books. If they don't die now, they will have severely impacted lives. So in 15-20 years we will hear how uneducated they are and incapable of taking care of themselves.

  • Find out who organized a protest that you would have wanted to join, start following them on social media, they will usually announce any upcoming protests there.

You can also try Googling to find organizations in your area that match your ideologies by entering {ideology} + {location} in Google, e.g. “BLM San Francisco” and sign up for newsletters.

In the beginning it will be a lot of active looking but once you start following the right accounts on social media and you’ve signed up for some newsletters/mailinglists, you should be able to passively consume what’s happening next and where.
