  • Given the extensive shedding, I think this would be PERFECT for a car collector or similar. Or someone with a horsefloat and a caravan and a boat and a few zillion motorcycles to store undercover.

  • Nice juicy storm over Trentham right now and heading our way, so maybe the washing machine magic has sorta kinda worked. Most of my washing is pretty much dry and easily tumble dried from here on so happy about that.

  • It looks like most of the rain will miss us, but I have set a load of washing in progress so here's hoping!

  • Thank you. As always, delicious!

  • Salad of shaved apple & cucumber with a vinaigrette dressing, and hot croissants please. And a cup of tea to go with too please.

  • Popping candy is one of the good new things.

  • Easter choc of any sort is a built-in disappointment. Tinfoil is no substitute for flavour. Gave up on it years back. Have never regretted it. Wait a couple of weeks and get yourself some of the good stuff and enjoy!

  • Smiths thin & crispy chips - sour cream and chives flavour - my intellect knows that this is not a proper meal, but my stomach begs leave to differ. Maybe the glass of wine has impaired my stomach's judgment.

  • AI will never take over the train driver's job. Just too many variables that require a human brain to deal with. My brother is a train driver. He sure has some stories to tell.

  • Nice. Maybe cover some cardboard boxes with it for more aesthetic storage. Or spray paint it orange and cover boxes with it.

  • My best example of this was discussing a friend's cat named Noodles. Shortly after, I got a bunch of ads for various asian restaurants and also ads for flea powder. Granted, the algae-rhythm was young, buuuuut ...

  • Capybaras? Who cares. But a duck ...

  • I want an Existential Crisis Duck Night light. My life will not be complete without it.

  • A bit of rain - finally! Watering the garden should have worked, but I did pack away the big hose from the front garden so maybe that jinxed it. Grateful for all we get though. It's just been so so dry - it's far past the usual time for the autumn break.

  • It's quite remarkable what gets brought home as 'souvenirs'. Guns etc. are fairly common, as are coins and badges etc. But ... there was a case about 15 years ago in country Victoria where a man was going through their ex-WW1 great-grandfather's papers and found the severed head of a german soldier in a box. This was successfully repatriated to the deceased's family, but WTF!

  • The War Museum in Canberra might like those. Or the Mitchell Library.
