This is a super boring answer but two of my favourite T-shirts came out of a charity shop, one of them is starting to get holes in it now because I have no idea how old it is but when they get too big I’ll probably just sew them back up and keep wearing the T-shirt

It's more like asking if you can touch type, do you need to? Probably not but it's a hell of a lot better to be able to do it.

I'm from the UK and after driving one about 100 metres I refuse to drive an automatic car, it's one of the main reasons why I don't want an electric car either. Automatic cars are horrible twitchy things that just aren't enjoyable to drive and you can't change gears to anticipate a change in the road before you're already on that bit of road.

This is just based on an offhand comment from a lecturer during a practical session during my time studying animal management in college, not directly from a biology lecturer so citation needed, but apparently rabbits don't have a combined windpipe/digestive tract and it means that a blocked nose can kill them. So even if choking wasn't a thing we'd have to worry about something blocking our noses and suffocating us.

When I was little I had to get stitches in my ear so they had to put me under while they stitched the top of my ear back in place, all I remember is sitting down on the medical bed then all of a sudden it was done and we were leaving.

I managed to get down to spending roughly £2 a week on food a while ago by only eating egg fried rice, I got pretty much all the nutrients I needed because you can just mix in whatever veg you want but it didn’t have enough calories. If you combine it with other meals though you’d be able to make a filling dinner for dirt cheap.

I’m in the UK and it was a dodgy cash in hand job at a chippy with no actual contract, so I didn’t really have any way to fight against it if I had wanted to keep the job anyway.

Even if I had a way to fight against it I was technically too young for the job and my car didn’t have the right insurance to do it because of that so I didn’t want any extra attention. I got through the college year and got decent grades though so it all worked out alright in the end.

Started with lemm.ee just because it was the first instance I found when I looked up lemmy. Moved over to lemmy.world when I tried to customise my profile a bit and hit the image size cap but now I’m spending most of my time back on lemm.ee anyway because lemmy.world seems to be offline most of the time.

Just get a regular bottle and fill it up from the tap, easy way not be forced to drink car wash water while saving money on shop bought bottled water.
