Do you have a better protocol in mind, or any fixes that could be made to make ActivityPub better?

Yeah, this happens a lot on a small instance. My hope is they can improve the system in the future to be more immediately responsive, even if it takes a bit to load everything in.

It's good to see this result replicated. The only thing I wish Firefox had natively was tab groups, they're a really useful feature for various organizing things. Otherwise, they're clearly one of not the best browser on the market.

I agree for the interiors of the vehicles, but I'm not sure if the weirdly designed exteriors are more cost effective.

My guess is they've been trying to make it cheaper by decreasing the amount of time it spends on each response or by decreasing the amount of computing power that goes into the instance you're speaking to. Coding and math are products of high-level cognition and arise emergently out of neural networks that are very sophisticated, but take just a bit of power out and the abilities degenerate rapidly.

It's honestly really stupid. I think that car manufacturers are trying to design their cars to look futuristic, while not understanding that the futuristic designs from the previous 30 years are impractical, fantastical, and stupid to pull into real life. You can really tell they aren't actually trying to improve based on user feedback when designing these things.

I'm not too surprised, they're probably downgrading the publicly available version of ChatGPT because of how expensive it is to run. Math was never its strong suit, but it could do it with enough resources. Without those resources, it's essentially guessing random numbers.

In terms of why I'm a good fit, I really like the c/196 community and the positivity with which it shitposts, and I will apply full discretion to remove nazis, trolls, bigots, and other troublemakers from our community. In terms of social media, I'm active with this account, I have activity on my alt @TheSaneWriter@lemm.ee, and my Reddit username from before I migrated over is u/TheSaneWriter. Though I wasn't the most active user, I still participated here and there over the few years I spent on Reddit.

You're correct, they currently don't have enough concentrated power. But that's the thing, if they did the genocide would begin immediately. No fascist movement came to power instantly, they built their power slowly through a mixture of government-sanctioned and illegal political activity and when they had accumulated enough power, in a quick strike decapitated their respective democratic governments. You can't afford to be reactive here because, by the time their regime starts in earnest, it's already too late. These ideologies need to be destroyed while they're still fledgling, ridicule only works at the very beginning and we're too entrenched for it.

This is one of many reasons proposals should be talked about in advance. If you like surprises your partner doesn't need to know exactly when the proposal is coming, but generally it should be known if a proposal is coming in the more immediate future, in the long term, or not at all.

The changes to Florida's education system made in the previous decade have been dismal. Florida is driving itself into the ground, not the least because climate change will sink the state in the next century. DeSantis and his ilk need to be removed from office and soon or the states they govern could take decades or even possibly a century to recover.
