  • It does a great job of condensing the important parts of the arcs it covers into 8 episodes, but it's still lacking a lot of the humor that I feel like is the heart of the show.

I still enjoyed it and would love for them to cover the whole series but that feels like a longshot considering how much more CGI heavy it's gonna need to get with things like new bad guys with crazy powers, new allies with crazy powers, and at least two more crew members that will have to be fully-CGI in order to work.

  • My wife has been watching OP for over ten years now. I always talked shit about it but never understood it. After being amazed by this movie though, I finally decided to give the show a shot and am so far blown away by how timeless it feels. It definitely has a lot of the typical shonen tropes but it's mainly a comedy with continuity and it really excels in the regard.

  • I'm more excited about season 2 than I am happy with the first season. I liked Sweet Tooth's story and the characters in general except for John Doe. Both his character and Anthony Mackie's performance were really lackluster in my opinion, and it felt like Anthony was really forcing the humor the whole time.

Stephanie Beatriz killed it, as expected. I thought her backstory was really interesting and appropriately ridiculous for the setting.

I'm hoping season 2 leans into more of the car combat and the ridiculousness of the setting.

  • These things are in Austin too and they cause smaller versions of issues like this all the time. We have a lot of major events throughout the year and I'm not looking forward to these things interfering with traffic more than they already do.

  • I haven't even played BG3 yet, but I wouldn't fault anyone for saying this. I lost a month and a half to TOTK and enjoyed every second. It fixed every gripe I had about BOTW, but that's kind of the problem as well. I always felt like BOTW was a glorified tech demo, and after playing TOTK, it felt more like the game BOTW should have been.

TOTK also has its own issues, especially with the story. The story just being told to you and not being something you're really experiencing was a weird choice. I was hoping for Ganondorf's involvement to be more than "it was me Link!" leading up to the final confrontation.

The final boss fight was an insanely awesome sequence though. Easily my favorite part of the game.

  • I feel like they did it this way out of some kind of contractual obligation. Like they are getting paid to make a third season, not a specific amount of episodes. So as long as they continue to produce "season 3" they'll keep getting paid.

I can't think of any other explanation as to why they'd do this otherwise.
