  • Of course you can get anything online if you go for it. But this kind of occasional nudes in my “all” timeline reminds me of the old Reddit days - and is quite nice as long as it doesn’t become too much.

So far I’ve never seen any fart-fetish community / post in my timeline tbh.

  • First I thought “oh, Nine Inch Nails is here”, but then I saw its subtitle “c/creampies”…

  • Isn’t this the scene with Karl Hungus from “Logjammin’”?

  • This almost seems like if the “god fraction“ has won…

I know that they had a “no porn” rule, but “no swearing” is new to me. Surely it will be a healthy family-friendly community.

I have no issue with some occasional nudes in my timeline. I could blur or filter it, if I would want to avoid this.

But porn in the web for me is an important part of the “freedom of expression”, therefore I find it anachronistic if some community tries to block / ban this.

  • Let me guess:

The first one is „God is dead“ by admin „K_Marx“

The second one is: „Marx is dead“ by admin „God“

But can’t you be on lemmy.ml and follow all the interesting communities from other instances (which might be harder to find, though)?

  • As long as there’s no wall to hold you up you could try to sneak in illegally.

  • And also Q-Anon isn’t a thing anymore, which was a base of his firmest believers, fighting against Hillary and others, who were said to be eating children in a Washington Pizzeria. But I really ask myself what on earth could make people hold on to this criminal and vote for him…

  • Wait, if Trump committed crimes in several states (as he did) - wouldn’t then the RICO Act come into effect and this could be treated as “organized crime”?

  • It’s not that easy, because you are dependent on the person / organization setting up the conference. Privately I would never use it, but I often follow webinars and information sessions hosted by an multinational organization, and these are always held via Zoom. So it would be a “take it or leave it” approach. I would not even know to whom to refer to ask for an alternative option.

  • Same here. Actually I uninstalled the official Reddit app within a day after seeing all these ads. My web experience is almost completely ad-free and if some ad or site comes around with ads ir user tracking, I don’t use it.

I haven’t watched any un-proxied YouTube video for over five years now. Not sure how long this will still be possible in the future but I hope that also in the future people will find ways to circumvene big-tech surveillance.

  • OK, I see the improvement, and a thumbnail next to the post title (see screenshot 1). Would it also be possible to add an option for a large preview, as shown in screenshot 2)? I prefer a timeline with large pictures, previews, etc. - Thanks!

  • What is actually „QuickLook“?

  • In the iOS AppStore I can only see version 0.10.9, which I have. 0.10.10 seems not to be available yet.

  • Nice company, but it didn’t help.

  • I know, also some other apps like Memmy or Mlem. But these have other deficiencies like integration of some video services or such. I am testing a couple of them to find the best Lemmy user experience. Liftoff is already pretty good and one of my favorites, only the repeated link title instead of a preview annoys me a bit. But I don’t think that this should be a major issue, so I’m hoping that this feature will come over time.

  • Came here to say this.

  • That one was really outstanding. I’ve seen it twice completely.

  • I guess they thought it’s one of those porn sites…
