  • No no. You don't understand. It wasn't the knee on his neck that killed him. It was his feelings about the knee on his neck.

  • There are currently 61 active infections in humans and 34 of those are in California. Our poultry farms have been devastated with millions of birds killed.

  • I'll believe they are "up in arms" as soon as they actually do anything.

  • Actually, I'd prefer you gone.

  • This isn't a great poll. It's 41% think it's acceptable, 40% unacceptable, and 19% don't care. In this context, I'd argue that not caring and accepting mean basically the same thing.

  • I am an older millennial and most of my friends that I went to school with own homes. They also lived with their parents into their 30s and still live in the shit-hole town we grew up in. I moved out of my shitty, toxic parent's house when I was 17 and moved to someplace I actually want to live.

I may be stuck renting until I die but I have no regrets.

  • I wish those guys had stuffed your cavity.

  • Right. At best, he wasn't killed, he was just intentionally given the tools and time to do so.

  • What point are you trying to make? Nothing you said addresses any of the barriers to using cash exclusively that I brought up. My landlord doesn't live nearby so I can't exactly just go hand him a massive wad of cash nor will my employer pay me in cash so I don't have to get to a bank during business hours.

I live in California by the way.

  • To pay my rent I would have to take my paycheck physically to a bank, cash my check, use that cash to buy multiple money orders, and then mail those money orders. Keep in mind this has to be done early enough to be delivered before the 1st and that the bank is mostly open when I'm at work.

  • Streaming boxes and dongles are no better either. These days I use a laptop hooked up to the tv so I can block ads and limit tracking.

  • My dog gets much higher quality food.

  • I wonder how much this shitbird spent on private security immediately after recording this.

  • As a chef with 22 years of experience hiring cooks, there is absolutely a distinction. I would have said fast food worker instead of "cook" because the quotes make it feel condescending, but I also do not count experience in fast food as relevant experience when reviewing resumes for a line or prep cook position.

We're also misusing the word chef a lot in this conversation. Everyone working the line in a kitchen is not a chef. They are cooks. The chefs are the kitchen leadership. There is typically one executive chef and one or two sous chefs below them. I'm simplifying things a bit but that's the most common structure you'll find in non-chain/corpo kitchens.

  • No, it isn't.

You can install emulators on the shield to play classic roms and you can stream games from your PC or the cloud to it. My laptop does both of those things. Plus I can install some modern games like Hades 2, block ads on every video and music streaming service, and be more in control of where my data goes.

I'm pretty sure the only thing the Shield does that my laptop won't is a.i. upscaling which is not an important feature for me.
