I actually kind of like the movie, but why would a channel play it on repeat?

It’s sad to see that everyday users have gotten habituated to these constant workflow braking updates.

I've never understood this problem, people talk like it has a mind of it's own and i just don't get it.

I'm running windows 11 pro and have never had updates interrupt my shit.

Updates show up in my system tray, then it updates overnight when i sleep.

for what it's worth, it's a small active community. Those that stay participate, like a pre-Eternal September internet. I've seen memes here before they made it to reddit, that's a shift in "power" that can't be understated in the landscape of the internets.

I'm not into pen and paper rpgs (though i'm curios about them), but if you need a bunch of dice, why not use an app?

as someone who was into computers and in high school in 2000, that that was not normal.

even if yo mean normal computer literate person, not even then... Most people did not run their own servers, was it more common, yeah, but it wasn't a given.

Things were only free if you were into piracy, everything cost money though without as much marketing, but then it wasn't a huge market...

like fungi recycle dead things into an absurd amount of nutrients, without them trees especially would barely break down and just stick around until very very eventually they turn into coal.

this is just such a cool thing to think about, there was a time when there were just dead trees everywhere in forests, like just laying there being logs or whatever, just piles and piles of dead trees and that's where coal comes from.

First let me clear this up, I mean that Biden represents the previous status quo, which has led us to a current status quo where the fascist are ascendant.

The status quo that Biden represents with it's primacy of shareholder power over every other part of society has led has led us here because it causes inequity and decay. The rich get richer, the poor get poorer, then desperate, then fascist...

I've long ago given up “not voting sends a message,” just come to peace with the fact that voting for the people that caused the problem will not fix the problem.

Biden is at best a delaying action from the bad times which are inevitable at this point.

If the bad times are coming let them come, because in the meantime the fascists are eating away like termites, like cancer, at the structures of our society, more people are becoming desperate and destitute rife for recruitment, delaying it doesn't save us, it just makes them stronger.

Big changes are nearly impossible to pull off.

That's what's needed though. i'm not voting for cinderella, I'm voting for better. Even if it isn't going to happen.

America finds itself with the cancer of christian fascism metastasizing in it's heart and without radical change the bad times are coming. Biden isn't the guy, Biden is the pre-ascendant fascist status quo trying to hold on for one last gasp.

That status quo does not by definition have the ability to fight the monster, born of inequity and decay, that it created...

like sites that disable right click, i scrape them on principle...

I'm not trying to defend windows, it has a myriad of issues, but I've never understood the meme of it updating at inconvenient times. I run windows 11 pro, I set it to only update when i tell it to and it does... Like it's never been a problem, wasn't a problem in windows 10 or 7 pro either.

I don't get it, am i windows whisperer and not know it?
