  • You were so obsessed with whether or not you could, you didn't stop to think if you should.

  • Jesus Christ on a motorbike.

    Here you go!

  • I mostly watch franchise movies, but as for my favorite non-franchise film of 2022, I'm torn between Ambulance and Marcel the Shell With Shoes On. I watched them both on a plane ride and took an immediate liking to both.

  • as it doesn’t need a login

I don't think you can login even if you wanted to!

  • GNU Taler is everything that Bitcoin/crypto says it is but never will be. It's the "anti-crypto".

  • Bunch of failed suicides

I sincerely hope your life is now better than it was before, and that your state of mental health is improved.

  • Toons!

  • This looked really fun! Sorry I couldn't participate, I'll try to join next year's.

  • Scientists are still trying to figure out how this movie went woke but didn't go broke.

  • uBlock Origin would be my number one, but they don't take donations.

You can always donate to the people who maintain the filter lists!

  • Yeah, despite being low quality and using outdated codecs conpared to Blu-ray and 4K UHD, DVDs still consistently outsell those two combined.

  • If you're looking for DRM-free digital distribution, the best I can think of is Vimeo on Demand. You pay one-time for a movie, and in return you get the option to download the movie as a MP4. There's mainly arthouse films and documentaries, but you may be able to find a few gems.

  • I've been trying to find a place where I can safely do so, but I don't want to risk getting in legal trouble.

    EDIT: Typo.

  • It's not about resolution, it's also about bitrate. Higher bitrate = higher quality.

Though I am excited for the futute of AV1. I'm still confused how they managed to make videos look great while keeping bitrate and file sizes low...

  • Not saying it didn't work, in fact I still download encodes. But for stuff I really like, I buy the physical versions.

  • RARBG used to be the place for 4K HDR before they shut down. I think all of RARBG's encoders moved to TorrentGalaxy. You may also be able to find stuff on 1337x.

  • The good news is, unlike DVDs and Blu-rays, 4K Ultra HD discs are completely region-free, so you can buy a US disc and it should still play on an Australian 4K player.

Of course, if you don't want to pay, you can always torrent a REMUX or BDMV, which will have the exact same quality as the disc.

  • It's good that it will be ad-free and no-cost, but will it be DRM-free?
