It's NOT a valid reason not to switch, but god that's a dumb name for a product. Again, I don't understand why I hate the name, but I do. Please help me.
Eh, I don't think that aspect is a problem per se. We certainly understand now why we started to use coal and fossil fuels back then. We didn't have the technology or knowledge for something better or the understanding of the consequences back then. It's the same. They'll understand.
Itt like that for every profession for some reason. If you are in that particular field, you obviously know every detail, every news, everything about that.
See: I can obviously fix your shitty printer/outdated piece of shit laptop, because I'm an IT engineer. I also heard that X department/big company got hacked AND I also know how. And I obviously have an idea about your smart home setup. And your phone being slow. AND why your brother can't get a good programming job.
Same here. My mother worked all her life at one place until she retired. She told me it's not a good idea and to only care about myself, not the company.
I had to use MacOS for 2 years after using Windows for 20. The copious amounts of energy suddenly releasing when thousands of dying stars start to explode in unison can't compare to the deep, burning hate I feel for MacOS.
But I know there are people who like or love it. No problem with that. It's just a personal feeling.
Exactly my thought for a long time. A law which mandates companies to...I don't know...put on a label, occupying at least 1/3 of the whole packaging with giant red/white font to say at least for 3-6 months: "The net weight/contenct was reduced by 15%."
Yepp, thought about DDG. Proton is a bit weird too, but I have my own domain as well, so that's not an issue.
