  • What’s the temperature over there? I mean, people see Elon as a fuckin hack and a joke, right? He doesn’t have as dedicated of a boot licking club? Or do a good amount of Germans actually buy into his “I’m a genius inventor and a respectable iconoclast who should be listened to” nonsense?

Please tell me he’s going to realize how limited his influence is come February. Please.

  • Right? I literally just thought how I need to rewatch that show. I feel in the annals of adult swim history, hat show is criminally overlooked

Kids these days with heir ricks and their Mortys!

  • Dude. If it turned out to be a new mega-season of Punk’d where Ashton Punk’d all of us for the last…like…15 years, starting with the 2010 midterms? Oh man. I guess that’d also explain where Ashton has been all this time.

  • Hey, now. We don’t want to charge business taxes! That’s anti-business! We’re anti- people in this country. Businesses are tax exempt because they’re the real citizens. Those gross, floppy pEoPlE are what we use to make money for businesses!

  • I’m…not the one downvoting you. You’re entirely missing the point. And entirely mischaracterizing me. I support you. I want to see you flourish and succeed. That’s what I’ve been saying. But you are shutting the door in everyone’s faces and saying “why doesn’t anyone want to be in this room with me?! They must be bigots!” No, you have to let people support you. You can’t turn everyone away and then blame them for not being on your side.

And that’s not even people not being on your side! It’s that they personally don’t like you—no offense. It has nothing to do with your identity. But if your perception is bent through that particular lens, then you’re seeing a lack of people around you, specifically, as a lack of support for trans people. And that is not what’s happening.

    See what I’m saying?

  • But…my point was you can’t say “be open minded and respectful, you dumb, nothing-going-on-upstairs idiot toddler.”

Do unto others, friend. That’s my point. Be respectful, don’t talk down to people and maybe you’ll be able to find that large swath of allies available to you. Because they do exist. But not if you actively repel them. Example: you’re in 196.blahaj and your attitude is not making you friends. You’re turning one of he most sympathetic, understanding spaces against you with your attitude. Seems like that might be your problem in the bigger picture, too. Learn from that.

  • Like, we found acceptable, beautiful levels of graphics years ago.

We’re not the ones saying “make it look even better.” They are the ones that seem to be whipping themselves into some frenzy and saying “we can’t keep doing this!”

    So fuckin stop.

  • Hmm…I swear behavior like this, in a bigger pattern of state persecution of a group of people has a very specific name.

It’s like when you control, slaughter, dehumanize an “out group”—man! Why can’t I think of the word! It’s like “gentle-…something” which is ironic because the behavior of the oppressor is so barbaric and inhuman. Damn! Why can’t I recall this word!

Like, the nazis did it, you know what I mean? Now, I might be wrong here, but this story has some connection to the nazis too. Can’t put my finger on that either.

    Oh, right.

ISRAEL IS COMMITTING A FUCKING GENOCIDE.

  • But it’s who’s hurting. When the solution involves making the poor suffer more for the better of the economy…you think that’s the right solution?

I’m not going to pretend to know much about the Argentinian economy. But using the basic tenets of my moral worldview, I have to say I disagree. But hen again, I am incredibly uninformed about the history of politics in Argentina. And I will say, what I learned from my Argentinian friends while living in South America, I would have to assume the problem is similar to other countries in South America (and in NYC)—it’s not the structure, but the string of corrupt assholes who take advantage of the position when they get in power. That story is not unique to anywhere in the world. Power corrupts people. So I’m going to, again, share my kind a uninformed opinion and say I would assume corruption has been the problem, not that the poor people weren’t getting screwed hard enough.
