Nearly every single major tech company will monitor and record every single interaction you have with any of their services and products now. Just do a Google data takeout and see just what kind of data they keep on you.
This is the norm now and everyone should be aware of this and expect it and more of it.
I'm in the same boat. My doctor is on the other side of the city but I don't dare lose him because I need him to constantly refill an important prescription that really should just be infinite because I have to take it for the rest of my life. Thankfully I can do a lot of it by phone now which takes a lot of hassle off both of us.
It's a long shot, but you could have a chat with the building manager and/or landlord and voice these concerns. I don't know if they'll do anything, but you never know.
Got several teachers in my family and they are all very vocal about how parents are by far one of the worst parts of their jobs. Every parent thinks their kid is the most important thing in the entire universe and should get premium treatment, usually at the cost of the other children (or even to spite the other children). They make absolutely insane demands and accusations and display extreme ignorance in regards to education and how the school their own child attends actually works.
Not impossible; most just are looking in the wrong places.
Finding people online works exactly the same as it does offline - you meet people in places of mutual interest or activity. Just like how IRL you would meet people in a local coffee shop or community space, you do the same online too. One of the biggest mistakes people make is thinking the answer to this problem is a dating app which are literally designed to keep you hooked while making sure you don't get what you're looking for.
I have some Fiio FH3 IEMs that I use with a Lightning to 3.5mm dongle fairly often. I also have some Airpods that are much more convenient to carry around and use but I do like my wired IEMs for when I want a more focused music listening and am not going to be moving around as much.
You’re not wrong, but doing a chargeback is a good way to get yourself yeeted off a service. I would not be surprised at all if Google suspends your account permanently if you chargeback, which is a huge issue if you rely on any of their services.
Update: yup, did some quick searching and found anecdotal reports of account suspension or deletion following a chargeback.
She also highlighted that Meta has not shown compliance with the orders set by Ireland’s Data Protection Act (IE DPA) last year.
Because getting caught and fined a couple million isn't even a minor business expense to these companies. Stop acting surprised when they don't follow your rules when you fine them 0.007% of their yearly profits.
Like,
Despite this, Facebook and Instagram remained operational in Norway, where EU data protection laws prohibit such advertising practices. The platforms faced a daily fine of one million Norwegian kroner (around €89,000).
Their bean counters probably laughed out loud when they were told about this, and I wouldn't blame them. This is a joke. They probably spend more on toilet paper for their office workers. Meta has nearly 200 BILLION (with a B!) in assets. Treat them like it.
EA, Ubisoft, ActiBlizz. All for their various flavours of greedy nasty and/or sexual abuse. Bethesda is honestly likely to go on the list soon as well.
