  • Unpopular opinion: You could just pay for the services you are using. It's a private platform and it's not necessary for your survival. You shouldn't feel entitled to get anything but the most necessary things for free. If anything, getting free things is a privilege.

  • It's not just about how smooth the game looks, but also how smooth it feels to control. 30 fps is way too sluggish for me. Granted, most people would probably reach a point of diminishing return somewhere after 60 fps, unless you're someone with the reflexes and hardware (high polling rate mouse, good frame timing on your monitor, low system lag, etc.) to back it up. I'm quite comfy between 120 to 144 fps, but there's some absolute monsters out there who would probably find that too slow.

If it's not a very fast moving game, like a turn based RPG, then it doesn't matter that much, but at least 60 fps is still a must for me to not look like a slideshow.

  • We should also hold their fans accountable for being mindless assholes. If some guy I watch on the internet tells me that he got a bad review, my first thought is not "I should send death threats to this reviewer". Like, that's not how a normal, semi well adjusted person behaves!

  • The older I get the more I know what kinda games I'm into. So everything else I try to play just feels boring very quickly. I get bored very quickly in general if I don't keep a game fresh for myself by, for example, mixing main and side quests instead of doing just one for hours.

I've also had times when I didn't play any video games at all and just watched YouTube all day. And sometimes I felt like I played games just because I didn't have anything better to do.

At the moment, I basically just play Cyberpunk and Battlebit, because both of those offer various ways of approaching encounters.
