  • Fantastic news. Im totally down to go down this rabbit hole again and see where these projects are sitting now. Thanks for the heads up.

  • The ONLY thing keeping me off Linux atm is VR.

My use case is more specific than just a Valve Index though. I have a Windows Mixed Reality headset (Samsung Odyssey HMD+) and requires windows to run well and feature full.

I really like having the option to whip out VR at a moments notice. Maybe ill dual boot linix, but it seems like a pain for whats essentially going to be my home media console/gaming rig.

I did turn my old rig into a Linux computer for my personal desktop. Loving Pop OS! From a casual perspective. I just need my browser, steam, and some FOSS linux alternatives.

  • Thanks for making Lemmy a better place you two!

  • Update: she stayed sprawled out for 2 more hours

  • Thank you! Its the new 8bitdo retro keyboard. Freaking love it. I have another post that shows the whole deal as well as everyone's initial reaction to it. Highly recommend if you're new to mechanical keyboards and want a cool themed first board.

  • I have a husky as well.... Im drowning in fur 😭😭.

  • Great video, highly recommend

  • Awh man thats terrible. Sorry about that :( hopefully the rest of the board works fine otherwise Id be sending a strongly worded email.

  • Make sure the battery is topped off but yes mine does light up, at leas in the 2'4ghz mode

  • Welcome! Ive found Lemmy and the threadiverse have a smaller, cozier feel (at least here in midwest.social) than Reddit.

  • Great comparison. Thats been my favorite part of the keyboard thus far. I can go HARD on it without feeling like its going to break.

  • Oh sure. Using the buttons to switch between different camera angles when im recording a video or steaming on Twitch. A is set up to be a close up camera shot while B shows a zoomed out view of my whole craft station.

  • Big programmable macro buttons. Practical? Maybe. Cool as fuck? Absolutely.

  • I don't have the best way to compare it to another true mechanical keyboard, but, to me, it feels a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitle harder that I would want, but thats probably because Im used to low profile switches. Need to work on my finger strength!

  • And to add on, you can connect 4 of these big button controllers - it has four ports on the front of the keyboard for them. Why you would need this - no idea - but you CAN and I love it.
